3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Full strength, not Utah weakness. Yellow-gold with no head. Ripe bananas, yeasty aroma and a little sweet caramel. Flavor isn’t too bad. Not to much over the top yeast flavor. Good carbonation and kind of a celery finish. Thanks BuckeyeBoy.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2012
Location: Updating with a 12 oz bottle from State Line, 10/25/12
Aroma: The nose has some Belgian yeast, spice, floral notes, and a little bit of banana
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden color with a lasting white head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, with some balancing spice, and a light hop presence
Palate: The body is medium, it has a tingly mouthfeel, and a fairly sticky finish to it
I think I enjoyed this one more the second time around. It is a little too sticky sweet, and maybe even a little cloying, but it isn’t a bad beer at all. Also, 3+ years later I’ve now had quite a few beers from the state of Utah (28 ratings, and they have all been either Uinta or Epic, so I know Utah has at least 2 breweries!)
Updated Rating (2012) - 3.4: 7/4/6/3/14
Location: 12 oz bottle from Brickskeller, 7/31/09
Aroma: Yeasty, banana, clove
Appearance: Hazy golden color, thin white head
Flavor: Mostly sweet and yeasty, bit of balance there too
Palate: Light to medium in body, dry finish, decent mouthfeel
I believe this to me my first beer from Utah. Who knew they made beer in Utah? This one is alright, drinkable, but not highly memorable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a spare, fizzy, white head, diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (bread, biscuit), average hop (grass, flowers, perfume), heavy yeast (dough, barnyard, horse blanket) with notes of banana, bubble gum, and pear. Medium bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of douglas88. A Belgian Pale Ale, eh? Let’s see. It pours hazy deep gold with thin white head. The aroma emits cloves, grains, banana, yeast, spice, a touch of grapefruit and coriander. The taste is an even balanced mix of cloves, yeasty spice, banana, sweet tangelo, faint grapefruit, ripe green apples and a light coriander note. Into the finish it dries up a bit while grainy malt notes come to the surface. Well executed and refreshing brew.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from douglas88, or if not, from ericandersnavy. Thanks to both you guys. Indeed it does seem to have a hefe aroma. Hazy gold color with a slight white head. Medium plus body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is typical Belgian, but more so than usual. There’s a big dose of kandi, clove, hot spice bits, and arguably even banana. Finish is pretty dry, and the pepper notes stick around. It’s a good one.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sparkling, slightly hazy golden with a large, frothy off-white head that is partially diminishing. Hefeweizenish nose: clove and banana rather prominent with a bit of natural cane sugar caramelyness. Flavor is moderately sweet, mildly bitter - cloves and banana notes still very prominent with a subtle underlying black pepper spiciness. Finish is dry and spicy, perhaps a touch cardboardy. I found this pretty dang tasty. (I opened with bottle with one of those hotel hangers - worked pretty well when you’re stuck in a hotel with no bottle opener.)

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Muted yellow color with a decent white head. Much more belgian than IPA with some yeast and wheat like characteristics. In fact there is almost no hops here and is pretty much all spice and wheat in the aroma and flavor. Needing a little refinement.
