2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A bit of a bitter after taste, should be sweeter. Refreshing, decent alcohol level, could use a bit more body.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden/pale color, malty, lightly bitter and leaves a light, thin bitter taste on the palate.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Overall pretty decent blonde ale, i’m not a huge fan of blondes, but this one is pretty tastey overall.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Yellow orange pour with a finger thick head that turned into a nice lacing shortly after. Banana, apple, spice. Light body, too much carbonation for the body. Light slight bitter finish Some beligun characteristics. Not impressive for a Unita.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
20130127 12 oz bottle from Wine World in Abingdon. I found this to be a pretty typical US micro attempt at a typical medium strength Belgian golden. Decent amount of yeast presence and some earthy hops. Not too sweet, plenty lacy on my glass, and overall a bit plain but refreshing. Ad some hops and it’s a saison. Seems like a by-the-book homebrew, but nothing special and maybe a bit heavy on the carbonation.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle. Pours a very light golden with a thin white head an medium lacing. This is a bit of a miss. It’s not bad but it ain’t exactly good either. I get the Belgian yeast aroma but very little of the nice flavors that usually go with it. A slight hint of pepper but otherwise pretty tasteless and boring. Not one of Uinta’s better efforts.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2013 12 ounce bottle. Clear yellow appearance. Corn husk aroma. Tastes very yeasty. Palate is medium to light and there are moderate amounts of carbonation. It was ok, but I got bored quickly. I feel as if Monkshine should have a total score higher than 3.0, but there are no individual aspects that warrant high marks here. Translation: it’s a nicely packaged, mediocre beer. I do like the graphical suggestions for proper glassware on the Uinta labels.

On guest tap at Haymarket pub. Pours clear amber with frothy sweet smelling head. Flavor is Sweet and complex but also quite light and crisp. Very good lighter Belgian.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
I like Uinta at times but I think this is a cool beer name. Bottle from Total Wine that pours clear orange with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Not a real pretty beer here honestly. The aroma has some honey sweetness followed by metallic, cheap notes. The taste is also fairly metallic, a little sweetness up front and a dry finish. This seems like they were trying to make a Duvel without using high quality materials.
