Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

This pours a hazy, copper orange color with a frothy beige head. The aroma is mild with pumpkin tones and a hint of spice. The taste is decent with a medium body with decent pumpkin flavor. There is a bit of an awkward after taste. This brew is kind of in the middle of the road as far as pumpkin beers go.

Golden amber color with large white head that fades to a thin foam just covering the surface of the beer. Faint aroma of pumpkin, apple, and spices. Thinner mouth feel that I prefer. Not overly sweet which I like but the whole pumpkin pie thing doeant really come through either.

Pours orange / light brown with an off white head. Aroma is pumpkin and spice. Flavor isn't sweet but rather pumpkin with just the right amount of spice. Solid.

The aroma is straight pumpkin pie with less emphasis on the sugar and more on the crust and whipped cream. Very spicy. Nice amber color with a fluffy white head. Taste is pumpkin, spice and pie crust without the unnecessary sweetness of some other pumpkin ales. Metallic aftertaste. Watery palate. Average pumpkin beer.

Not all that great. Pretty average all the way around but I still drank a few anyways.

Pours amber with an off-white head. The aroma has graham crackers, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and crustiness. It has a fairly light body with lots of mild carbonation. The flavor starts with pie crust, toasty dry malt, dried spices, pumpkin and some nuttiness. The finish has a mild astringency that kinda works for it. Pretty decent for a pumpkin ale.

12oz bottle. Code date 1/14/16. Appearance: Amber/light brown with a slight haziness and frothy off white head and decent lacing. Aroma: Pumpkin spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice) with a light toastiness. Taste: Medium malt sweetness with strong bready and toasty malt flavors. The pumpkin spicing in the aroma is strangely missing on the tongue. A slight cooked pumpkin and nutmeg flavor show up on the swallow, but overall taste profile is fairly one demensional. Mouthfeel: Medium body with a low to moderate carbonation. Finish: Enough bitterness to balance, finishing with a lingering toasted malt and light pumpkin spice. Overall: A very low spiced pumpkin beer. Nice bready and toasty malt backbone, but while the pumpkin spice shows up in the aroma it’s almost non existent in the taste.

Can. Glowing deep brown-orange, cloudy, thick lace. Malty caramel nose, like a brown ale, not much spice, a bit of citrus, earthy hops. Malty flavor, light spice, caramel and chocolate, some citrus hops. Medium to full body. Solid enough as a beer.

12 oz bottle served in a pint glass. Pours light amber with thin off-white head. Aroma is full of rich sweet pumpkin spice. Taste is medium pumpkin spice again and nutty light caramel malt. Brown sugar notes as well. Finishes clean though rather thin.
