3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber with an off-white head. The aroma has graham crackers, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and crustiness. It has a fairly light body with lots of mild carbonation. The flavor starts with pie crust, toasty dry malt, dried spices, pumpkin and some nuttiness. The finish has a mild astringency that kinda works for it. Pretty decent for a pumpkin ale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. Code date 1/14/16. Appearance: Amber/light brown with a slight haziness and frothy off white head and decent lacing.
Aroma: Pumpkin spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice) with a light toastiness.
Taste: Medium malt sweetness with strong bready and toasty malt flavors. The pumpkin spicing in the aroma is strangely missing on the tongue. A slight cooked pumpkin and nutmeg flavor show up on the swallow, but overall taste profile is fairly one demensional.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with a low to moderate carbonation.
Finish: Enough bitterness to balance, finishing with a lingering toasted malt and light pumpkin spice.
Overall: A very low spiced pumpkin beer. Nice bready and toasty malt backbone, but while the pumpkin spice shows up in the aroma it’s almost non existent in the taste.

Can. Glowing deep brown-orange, cloudy, thick lace. Malty caramel nose, like a brown ale, not much spice, a bit of citrus, earthy hops. Malty flavor, light spice, caramel and chocolate, some citrus hops. Medium to full body. Solid enough as a beer.

bottle. Pale amber with small head. This is a pretty average pumpkin beer. Slightly tart to start. More pumpkin than spice. Rather bland.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
August 10th, 2013 - Uinta’s Punk’n is that pretty, foxy amber we expect from pumpkin beers, propping up a thin, fuzzy head, and pushing up a cloud of pumpkin frosting and pumpkin pie. I didn’t find much cinnamon or brown sugar here, though there is something of that tang that comes when you have a solid pumpkin pie batter prepared to go into the oven. Yeasty, sharp and tasty. The palate is well balanced, with an appropriate level of carbonation and heft on the tongue, and the taste reflects the aroma, with lots of pumpkin pie "in the making" notes, and an aftertaste that reminds me of the end product - sharp, roasted crusts.

Pumpkin beers are great and this is no different. This is a darker beer with a distinct pumpkin taste.

Old rating. Pretty standard heavily spiced and slightly musty pumpkin beer. Copper colored. Okay for the style.
