Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Hazy orange/amber brew with decent looking head that dies fast. Fair pumpkin aroma and the taste is slight pumpkin with a small amount of spice. Thin, very thin mouth feel. This is like a watered down version of a really good pumpkin ale. Not a fan of thin watery beers. Of course I would love to have "harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener" but our lame distributors around here offer Uinta brews in cans only.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and shaker served showing a clear, deep amber hue, with good persistence to the silky, soft white head, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was light grain, malt & caramel, a light pie spice presence, and some toasted pumpkin notes. Light to medium bodied, with lively enough carbonation, the taste followed as the nose, adding a hop bitterness that was earthy, lingering, and probably a little too heavy handed, considering the light presentation of the other contributing notes. Not a bad seasonal, otherwise.

Tasted from bottle. Pours s dark orange with a thick off white head. Tons of lacing. Aroma is caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg. Taste has minimal spice for a pumpkin beer. Moderately sweet with minimal bitterness. Flavors of caramel, bread, earthy tones with a little nutmeg, all spice and cinnamon. Average pumpkin beer overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, Best before February 18, 2015.
Glass: Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Mildly hazy vibrant orange with hints of burnished copper. Head is short and dense, light tan hue.
Aroma: Pumpkin and ginger are the most prominent, hints of graham cracker, brown sugar and cinnamon are noted.
Taste: Mild pumpkin throughout, hints of cinnamon and brown sugar, mild malt base with a bit too much ginger and nutmeg. Would be really balanced otherwise.
Palate: Oily medium bodied, mild to moderately carbed.
Overall: This is a solid beer, but nothing to rave about and certainly not the best, as according to on RB user. I probably won’t buy this next year, but if I did by accident then it wouldn’t be a waste.

Bottle. Pours golden brown with a thin bubbly head that dissipates. A spicy wheat aroma that is typically a turn off for me. Mild carbonation. A pleasant pumpkin ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Cinnamon/nutmeg, pumpkin and light caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber with moderate head. Lightly sweet pumpkin malt and moderately bitter herbal nutmeg flavor. Not bad - minimal sweetness, and spice not too extreme.

The aroma has pumpkin and spices and is slightly drier than many of the style. The appearance is hazy amber. The taste is like the aroma with a touch of cardboard. The palate is smooth. Overall OK.

From bottle. Pours orange Amber with moderate carbonation and head. Great spice aroma. Taste is less pumpkin pie but has great balanced malty and spicy approach with only slight bitterness. Very drinkable and makes compares to a more spicy version of Goose Island Harvest Ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty standard pumpkin beer, had a bunch in a row now so tough to distinguish by words. Interesting sweetish sour finish.

One of the smoother, more satisfactory and well-balanced pumpkin brews. Doesn’t overwhelm with a plethora of spices, but still supports a complex profile on its shoulders. Interesting pumpkin notes. Great sessionable brew for the holidays.
