COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Pours a clear orange-amber with a rich, tan head that dissipates very quickly. Aromas of roasted malt underlie nutmeg, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Remarkable how much this smells like pumpkin pie. Medium-bodied mouthfeel with some light carbonation. I’m not sure these flavors work. I detect a little creamy pumpkin, but not as overtly as it presents in the nose. It has a little tartness and bitterness at the finish. Perhaps these flavors are meant to mimic raw pumpkin. Not my favorite.

Oddly, this is a nice -chocolate- ale. Quite chocolaty on the nose and in taste. Reminiscent of Sonoran's whit chocolate ale. Pumpkin? Notsomuch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

~Strong pumpkin pie aroma. Nutmeg and that meaty pumpkiny aroma. ~Pours very clear golden amber color with quickly disappearing head. ~Flavor is a bit more subdued with nutmeg and light bready sweetness. ~Light bodied, with med high CO2, sweet spicy nutmeg finish. ~I found this beer to be quite delicious. This is the only pumpkin beer I have liked. This is quite a bit old since I am drinking it March. Maybe the spices arent as strong, but I like it that way.

Uinta Punk'n Nutmeg, pumpkin, squash. Bitter, sweet and sour and a little skunky. Light body and thin. Not a great version of a pumpkin ale.

A new good pumpkin ale, tastes of sweetness from pumpkin less of a spiced ale that pairs well with the brown malts.

12 oz bottle from Spirits Crossroads. Poured a decent looking orange/amber body with a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma of dirty pumpkin, earth, light pumpkin spice, cinnamon, hint of chocolate and wet toast. Body is watery with average carbonation and not much of an aftertaste. Flavor is a drop off from the aroma, waqtery overall with notes of earth, dirty grains, toast, dirty pumpkin rinds. Blah.

Savannah, Ga - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour - no head - kind of lifeless. Pleasant pumpkin pie spice aroma. solid pumpkin pie spice flavor, a hint of cinnamon, a hint of cloves. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Decent.

Got a small glass of this at a tasting, probably would have never bought it. Amber color, decent head. Aroma is thick pumpkin purée like you just opened a can of it. Flavor was pumpkin and spice but also dominated by this stale maltiness that reminds me of dog food, specifically the purina factory, yuck. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-07-2012 17:13:22
