COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Appealing Sorachi hops, an uncommon hop from Japan, balanced with lighter malts. Citrusy, fresh, clean. Sumír Organic Summer Ale pairs well with summer. It is an easy companion to most foods on the summer grill, such as chicken, fish, and burgers. Pairs well with curries and spicy foods. Try it with sushi!

Pours a clear, straw color with minimal head. Aroma is some very faint wheat. Taste reminds me of a pilsner. This beer is crisp and refreshing but at the same time rather boring.

Draft sample at Cincy Beerfest 2014 on Fountain Square. Pours a clear pale gold with a big white frothy head. Notes of straw, crackery and pale malts, grass, and not much else. Light-bodied, with high carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Yeah - 4%, light, dry, simple - nothing wrong with this one for a summer sipper.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a smallish head. Taste is light with some bitterness. The finish is a bit soapy. No so good.

Light color and taste. Not much flavor beyond hops but a nice easy drinking beer. Steaw color.

A good summer style wheat/saison at only 4 % abv. For the light alcohol level this is a flavorful brew and makes for a decent session .

I dig Sorachi hops but they are underused here. A decent refreshing hot weather beer, no more, no less. Not something Iíll go outta my way for with all the alternatives on the market.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance Ė The beer pours a hazy golden-yellow color with a nice one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a rings of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell Ė The aroma is biggest of a wheat and lemon smell along with a little bit of a grainy smell. There is a hint of a grassy and hay smell as well giving it a slightly funked summer wheat smell overall. Taste Ė The taste begins with a wheaty and slightly bready taste with a hint of fruity sweetness of a tangerine nature. Right from the start there is a bit of lemon and some grapefruit hop flavor which are later joined by some more grassy and hay like hop flavors. As the taste advances the sweeter tangerine fades, drying out the taste of the brew, with some grainy and more grassy hop flavors coming to the tongue. With a little bit of hay and yeast that come at the end of the taste, one is left with a rather crisp and wheaty, slightly funked, and more intense then would be expected for a 4.0 % abv brew., flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel Ė The body of the beer is rather average for a normal strength brew, but for a 4 % abv it is rather thick, with a carbonation level that is rather average overall. The thicker body and moderate carbonation really accentuate the mix of wheat and funk rather well bringing these flavors to the forfront and really allowing them to be picked up. Overall Ė A rather good summer style wheat/saison at only 4 % abv. For the light alcohol level this is a fantastically flavorful brew and makes for one fantastic session . Rather nice overall!!

I had this at Global Brew. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Taste lemony, grassy, a bit of hops. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a pale straw color. Citrus aroma with big citrus flavor. A bit watery. I did not like this one and didnít finish it. Canít quite pinpoint the problem, maybe too sweet for the style.

Golden pour with a white head. Aromas of light citrus peel and hops. Flavor is slightly hoppier than I was expecting. Decent little easy-drinkin brew. Good on a hot day.

12oz can. Filtered pale yellow-tan body. Steady, foamy white head. Medium to light bodied, not a whole lot going on. The Sorachi Ace donít come on that strong, not really offering the bitter balance that benefits the style. They do offer some mild, earthy mellow fruity tones, but could probably use another hop variety to complement it. Decent for a Blonde Ale, but pretty boring overall.
