Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Pumpkin beers are great and this is no different. This is a darker beer with a distinct pumpkin taste.

Old rating. Pretty standard heavily spiced and slightly musty pumpkin beer. Copper colored. Okay for the style.

375Ml. Dark orange. small dense head that fades fast. Aroma is candied yams, brown sugar and candy corns. The taste is pretty bad. rotten almost.old pumpkins, some corn, brown sugar but just not great.

Caramel pour with a tan head. Aroma is pumpkin, little spices. Taste is malt, pumpkin, spices, nothing overbearing. Well balanced. Tasty beer. OK lacing.

Unitas Punk’n is a mostly clear bright copper brew with a firm head of tan bubbles. Nose is a good amount of spice with the malty slightly musty pumpkin earthiness. Taste is a good spice hit on the front with malt and a slight sweetness that carry through to the end. good balance without being overpowering. finishes with just a bit of pumpkin lingering.

If you like this style, you’ll like this...The aroma is pretty good with lots of spice, but this is certainly not my favorite beer by any measure. It’s very spicy and what you might it expect--and well executed just not my mug of taste. Plenty of pumpkin pie notes are found in the flavor but somewhat over shadowed by the spices. Finish just leaves you not wanting too much more...

Bottle. Hazy amber-brown with a creamy off-white head. Spices, clove, caramel and pumpkin in the nose. Taste - sweetish malts, caramel, clove, spices, pumpkin, vegetal notes, mild hoppy bitter finish. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. OK.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2015 can at 5%abv - known to be one of the lighter of its type - aroma isn’t big with some molasses, baked cinnamon, bread, and cooked vegetables -- flavor has a light and clean molasses/brown sugar presence with various spices coming through in small amounts with some tangy and earthy vegetation - overall nothing too offensive - a clean, simple, light, spiced pumpkin brew **still quite good at around 6 months old - spice bitterness and pumpkin tanginess even mellowed out a bit-a solid spiced brew

12 oz. bottle from Party Town. Pours a clear orange on the darker side of the spectrum, with a small off-white head that lasts as a ring and film and leaves a pretty good amount of lace. Notes of roasted pumpkin, nutmeg, brown sugar, light allspice and cinnamon, and a leafy, earthy note. Light-bodied, with modest carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Clean and delicate for the style. Doesn’t hit you over the head with anything, which is probably why it’s so underrated.
