COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punkín Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2013 Itís fine. that about sums it up. It is sort of like an anemic amber ale- pours that color with a bit of lacing on top. the pumpkin is there but in a subtle way- too subtle I would say. Not much (any) hoppiness to it but a sweetness and warmth from the spices. quite light on the palate. I guess I expect a fall beer to be a bit more substantial- in a warm you from the inside-out kind of way. this is really more like a summer ale with a tiny hint of pumkin. like the brewer was told to add pumpkin, but they always chose the desert at thankgiving that wasnít pumpkin pie. for what itís worth.....tried it a second time and was much more appreciative of the subtleties. definitely better than I remember.

Draft 11/22/14 (Ballydoyles Aurora)-Pours a copper amberish with a small head. Aroma of pumpkin and spices. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew is well balanced and quite tasty.

Bottle, best before 02/18/15. Nose is heavy spice soup with a meaty, brothy, socky dankness that I donít like. Pours red-orange with minimal carbonation and a tight beige head; pretty, actually. Taste medium-bitter with light-medium sweetness, the normal rogueís gallery of spices and the rarer appearance of actual pumpkin, though itís a bit too vegetal. Light maltiness, light caramel, low but present alcohol, not really any hops, somewhat crisp. Not bland, but not memorable (and too much with the spices, guys, seriously!).

On tap at my local watering hole. Served in a standard bar pint glass. Poured copper/orange with a minimal off white head. Light pumpkin and caramel aroma. Flavor is light pumpkin/vegetal with some graham cracker and mild spice. Light sweetness. Medium bodied. All in all, pretty good.

Pours a clear dark Amber. Smells Kiel pumpkin pie. Tastes sweet but not too sweet. Spices at the back end. Cinnamon, white pepper, nutmeg. My fitness pal says it's only 125 calories. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweaet aroma of pumkin pie, spices, and cinnamon. Deep orange amber color with a tan/white head. Muted sweet malt at the begining. Notes of fall spices next. Some cinnamon and nutmeg. Not as sweet tasting as it smells. Watery mouthfeel. Finishes with a slightly peppery bitterness....very mild. Ok.

Hazy orange/amber brew with decent looking head that dies fast. Fair pumpkin aroma and the taste is slight pumpkin with a small amount of spice. Thin, very thin mouth feel. This is like a watered down version of a really good pumpkin ale. Not a fan of thin watery beers. Of course I would love to have "harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener" but our lame distributors around here offer Uinta brews in cans only.

tmoreau (2530) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - OCT 28, 2014
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and shaker served showing a clear, deep amber hue, with good persistence to the silky, soft white head, and curtainy cling to the lacing. The aroma was light grain, malt & caramel, a light pie spice presence, and some toasted pumpkin notes. Light to medium bodied, with lively enough carbonation, the taste followed as the nose, adding a hop bitterness that was earthy, lingering, and probably a little too heavy handed, considering the light presentation of the other contributing notes. Not a bad seasonal, otherwise.

RRistow12 (269) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2014
Tasted from bottle. Pours s dark orange with a thick off white head. Tons of lacing. Aroma is caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg. Taste has minimal spice for a pumpkin beer. Moderately sweet with minimal bitterness. Flavors of caramel, bread, earthy tones with a little nutmeg, all spice and cinnamon. Average pumpkin beer overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

keanex (1493) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - OCT 21, 2014
Bottle, Best before February 18, 2015.
Glass: Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Mildly hazy vibrant orange with hints of burnished copper. Head is short and dense, light tan hue.
Aroma: Pumpkin and ginger are the most prominent, hints of graham cracker, brown sugar and cinnamon are noted.
Taste: Mild pumpkin throughout, hints of cinnamon and brown sugar, mild malt base with a bit too much ginger and nutmeg. Would be really balanced otherwise.
Palate: Oily medium bodied, mild to moderately carbed.
Overall: This is a solid beer, but nothing to rave about and certainly not the best, as according to on RB user. I probably wonít buy this next year, but if I did by accident then it wouldnít be a waste.
