COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Generally with a pumpkin ale I expect a good smell, but this was the worst smelling pumpkin ale I have ever had. It smelled a little like a dead fish. The taste was slightly better that the smell, but not by much. The quality of the beer is sub-standard for this style. It had a good head and even better head retention.

Bottle, Best before February 18, 2015.
Glass: Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Mildly hazy vibrant orange with hints of burnished copper. Head is short and dense, light tan hue.
Aroma: Pumpkin and ginger are the most prominent, hints of graham cracker, brown sugar and cinnamon are noted.
Taste: Mild pumpkin throughout, hints of cinnamon and brown sugar, mild malt base with a bit too much ginger and nutmeg. Would be really balanced otherwise.
Palate: Oily medium bodied, mild to moderately carbed.
Overall: This is a solid beer, but nothing to rave about and certainly not the best, as according to on RB user. I probably won’t buy this next year, but if I did by accident then it wouldn’t be a waste.

Bottle. Pours golden brown with a thin bubbly head that dissipates. A spicy wheat aroma that is typically a turn off for me. Mild carbonation. A pleasant pumpkin ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Cinnamon/nutmeg, pumpkin and light caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber with moderate head. Lightly sweet pumpkin malt and moderately bitter herbal nutmeg flavor. Not bad - minimal sweetness, and spice not too extreme.

The aroma has pumpkin and spices and is slightly drier than many of the style. The appearance is hazy amber. The taste is like the aroma with a touch of cardboard. The palate is smooth. Overall OK.

From bottle. Pours orange Amber with moderate carbonation and head. Great spice aroma. Taste is less pumpkin pie but has great balanced malty and spicy approach with only slight bitterness. Very drinkable and makes compares to a more spicy version of Goose Island Harvest Ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty standard pumpkin beer, had a bunch in a row now so tough to distinguish by words. Interesting sweetish sour finish.

One of the smoother, more satisfactory and well-balanced pumpkin brews. Doesn’t overwhelm with a plethora of spices, but still supports a complex profile on its shoulders. Interesting pumpkin notes. Great sessionable brew for the holidays.

Bottle: Pours a pellucid orange/copper color with a nice thick white head and creamy lacing. The nose is ripe with nutmeg and clove with a nice pumpkin pie note. Some of that classic allspice too. Yummy, this reminds me that autumn is just around the corner. The flavor is lacking body, character and much of any spice or pumpkin. A bit of that goodness is quaffed up through the nasal passages to give you another smell of it on the finish. Decent spicing, but a bit too thin and uninteresting to pull ahead of the plethora of other pumpkin beers this year.

Bottle into a frosted mug. Pours a cloudy orange with hardly any head, aroma of IPA with a slight bit of spice, taste about the same. Smooth. Taste like a mild IPA with a slight nutmeg or cinnamon spice to it but no pumpkin flavor at all. Better pumpkin beers out there but i have to try them all lol. Luckily I can do the mix and match at ABC
