12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh. Just average, nothing special here. Satisfies enough for a hot summer day.

Super clear golden coloured body with a light copper glow and a rich, thick, four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, alcohol, grass and quite a bit of funk noticeable - interesting and quite strong. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malty flavour with some grain, cereal and medicine at first and some subdued alcohol and sweet flavours right afterwards all ending in a tannic hit of alcohol. Aftertaste is muted at best and showing funky malt and yeast at worst - not great. Overall, a decent beer with some subdued (Good) flavours and some overt (not so good) tastes noticeable that make it drinkable, but not worth searching out for. I sampled this twelve ounce stubby bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 04-May-2014 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 01-June-2014.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, yellow with a frothy white head, lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast and grain. Taste is consistent, a tad bitter from hops; but other than that nothing extraordinary. Nice pale lager, easy to drink, great on hot summer days.

Very pale yellow with a white head. The aroma was disgusting. It smells like cheese and soggy diapers. It has a light, thin body with average carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a quick, clean finish. The aroma really killed this beer for me, but that wasn’t the only downfall.

Bottle from Whole foods SLC. Pours clear yellow with a thin white head. Not much on the nose. Not much on the tongue either except for a slight citrus note. Finishes clean. Eh!

This one smells really strong but lacks in taste. Very much a pale ale and pours light yellow like one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. A: Pours a mildly hazy straw color. The head billows vibrantly at three fingers high, with a white shade. Retention isn’t fantastic, but the lacing it leaves behind is fairly prevalent. S: Rather simplistic, as expected. Pale malts help back up mild hops, seemingly both German (grassy, sulfury) and ’Merican (herbal, citrusy) in their qualities. Serviceable, no more, no less. T: Like I said, simple. It’s little more than pale malts and a kiss of hoppiness. To be fair, there hops aren’t entirely one note, hitting a middle ground between grassy noble and citrusy ’Merican flavors. There isn’t a ton of flavor, but it’s not quite ’watery’. M: Heavy and viscous. No wait, I meant light and crisp. It’s a bit too tingly and astringent in feel, though. High carbonation is expected, making it very easy to drink. O: This is far more conducive to simple, mindless drinking than sitting down and reviewing it - because really, there isn’t much to review here. Still, quite decent for a 4% lager.

jcos (1559) - Maryland, USA - SEP 3, 2013
Location/Date:Bottle on August 31st, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a light orange brown.
Aroma: Aroma of biscuit.
Taste: Faint hop, light biscuit lageryness.
Palate:Light body.

Summary: Grabbed a six pack of these for one last "summer" bbq, figuring a lighter beer was called for. A solid pale lager, decent taste without any of the bad flavors of BLS.
