Bottle at Peculier Pub. Nothing special here. Pours a mostly clear yellow with a thin, fizzy white head. Light aroma of crisp malts, straw and light hops. Flavor has faint sweetness, plenty of grass and earth and light bitters. Light to medium in body with bubbly carbonation. It struck me as a bit odd. Drinkable but nothing more than that.

A light fruity aroma. Pale golden color with a respectable white head that leaves lace tatters. Medium bodied. A bit fizzy, but not harshly so. Seems to be citrus fruit, perhaps with a touch of floral hop. The malt is light biscuit at best - the whole impact is light. There is enough bitter to consider this balanced, but it didn’t take much. There is some kind of mild spicey "burn" on the tongue - don’t think it’s from the carbonation. Interestingly different. Don’t know how this qualifies as pilsener, other than the Saaz. Which really seems to show itself only in the bitter in the finish.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a large, foamy brilliantly white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is corn and Pils malt (DMS) with light sulfur notes, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is dry and crisp Pils malt, light corn (DMS) notes, light hops and medium bitterness with a dry finish. Light bodied and medium carbonation.

Bottle @ home. These guys’ lagers have been pretty boring, so hopefully this is different. Clear golden appearance with a fluffy, pearl white head. Grainy, straw, somewhat dry, a bit musty aroma. Cracker, grainy pale malty, hay flavor with some light vanilla notes. Easy enough to drink but boring.

Of course you beat me to this rating Beau! 12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium sized white frothy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of grassy hops with pale malts. The taste is pale crackery malts with grassy hops. Medium bodied. Decent, but kinda bland and why breweries think summer = less flavor is beyond me. Summer sucks enough already, at least give us something decent to drink.

draft at Sheffield’s in Chicago. pretty simple beginning to end: medium-low sweetness, low hop rate, watery and fizzy texture with a distinct corn twang. the definition of bland.
