2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 badgerben (4253) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - NOV 2, 2004
Yellow color with a thin head. Dry wheat aroma. Oddly enough, it tastes a little sweet and still has the dirty taste from some Saaz hops. Not a lot of flavor in this bottle, maybe it was a bad batch.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 beermatrix (1497) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - SEP 10, 2004
Lemon juice yellow with a straw like haze to it, thin and bubbly white head pops and dwizzles down to a whispier then whispy haze and a thread thin collar; lacing in minimal spots. Aroma has a nice fresh grassy notation over light touches of lemon citrus and honey candy while maintaining a dry and sweetish breadyness denoting a softer tone underneath the grassy hops. Flavors are just as nice, fine and dry with a bready grass tone, sminges of citrus seep around the edges along with a malty sweetness of candied honey. Subtle inticement comes to mind while drinking this. This has a nice feel thats pretty close to full for a kolsch, slimmer in the front end but picks up by alot by the midway point and keeps on a giving into the finish where a subtle grassy bite, well more like a nibble, firms up the palate and has some light drying while leaving a wet malty sweetness underneath. This is a pretty solid kolsch. Appetizingly delicious and refreshing drinkable. A pleasant surprise. This will be enjoyed again.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 18, 2004
Another State checked off courtesy of Falconseye8. Hazy straw color with a taller off white head. Light fruity aromas mingle with a touch of wortiness. If memory serves Utah has a low alcohol limit on the brews which would account for the mild wortiness and higher then expected bitterness ( to balance the residual sweetness). That said, this really is a respectable brew. Light sweet start with a touch of fruit and later hint of citrus. Higher bitterness balances the sweetness quite well. Uneventful finish.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 beerguy101 (5206) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 5, 2004
Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is grassy and grainy, a touch floral. A medium bodied Kolsch. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are mild and slightly floral. A light and refreshing beer. Nicely balanced. Lots of flavor for such a low alcohol beer. A nice malt fruitiness is balanced by a slight hop bite. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 6, 2004
Yellow creamy head and sparse lacing. Pils malts, butter and light hops. Flavor is the same really with more bitter hops. Not too bad.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - JUN 6, 2004
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2005 NABA ’04 (and subsiquantly the bottle you see pictured in the top right): Bright yellow, light head. Aroma is malty, lightly sweet with notes of cilantro & citrus. Good aroma. Flavor turns on you and is more musty with wheat than citrusy. Finishes watery with a bit of malty body and hop crispiness.
