3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Best Before: 07/21/13.
Appearance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a tall, proud, white head. Drips and blurbs of lacing on the way down.
Smell: Easy-going malts, a little sun-dried hay, a touch of crustless white loaf bread. Fruity-scented accents smelling of apple and sweet white grapes. Thin sliver of hoppiness.
Taste: Soft maltiness, though, with a skosh more cereal sweetness than expected. A touch of sulphury apple lands early, a few drips of white wine. Lightly herbal hops, lightly bitter. Sweetish, fruityish finish with a good mouth of suds.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: Refreshing, easy-drinking. Solid enough for an American-born Kölsch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
4oz draft pour as "HooDoo." Poured a slightly hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was wheat, bready, with some light malt character. Flavor was wheat, with light malts. Really easy to consume, nice to drink, very clean. Very sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft from Bayou in SLC. Served in a pint class, this golden ale has nice white lacing throughout the pint. A nicely balanced brew, there are apple cider notes that pair nicely with the bready malt flavor. One of the better 4.0% beers ive tried.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle pours a clear yellow-orange with a medium white head. Taste is bready, malty, and a bit of wheatgrass. Clean finish, and drinkable due to the low ABV. Somewhat thin.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Light gold with a medium, white head with medium retention. Very pale aromas, pilsner malt with some slightly floral hop presence. Delicate fermentation flavors accompanied by very light white bread and floral hop; there is a great finishing bitterness. Light bodied and dry. The most refreshing ale you can find, easily mistaken for a light lager of some kind but has a great bitterness that rounds everything out.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle; poured a dark gold color with an off white head. Aroma of bread, caramel, with a touch of sweetness. Flavor was ok, but probably a bit below average for the style. Bready.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
As "Hoodoo", bottled on 08/22/12, opened here in early December. Nose of lightly dusty but sunny malt with a touch of hops, pours golden leaning toward orange with a short white head. Taste is very dry and lightly bitter, grainy with light hops. Light-medium body, crisp with a slightly mealy finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear yellow color, minimal bubbles with a couple rising to the surface. Smells sort of grainy. Flavor is grainy malt, cereals, not very crisp and not very hoppy despite what the label says. Very easy to drink though since the ABV is so low. This was a decent beer but is my least favorite for the style and I won’t make a repeat purchase on this one.
