Appealing Sorachi hops, an uncommon hop from Japan, balanced with lighter malts. Citrusy, fresh, clean. Sum’r Organic Summer Ale pairs well with summer. It is an easy companion to most foods on the summer grill, such as chicken, fish, and burgers. Pairs well with curries and spicy foods. Try it with sushi!

Pours a light somewhat wimpy color. White head that doesn’t linger. Just sort of a light, refreshing summer beer with not much too it. definitely some better "summer" offererings from other breweries that I would choose over this one. Might pair well with sushi as the brewer suggests....nice for a hot summer afternoon and probably not much else. Had in a bottle from zillies.

Pours light clear golden yellow with a white head. The aroma has cereal grains, mild sweetness, some floral hops, pale malt and a bit of bread. It has a medium / light crisp body with a mild amount of carbonation. The flavor starts out with pale pils-like malt, spicy hops, grass and snappiness. The finish is clean and refreshing. Nice summer beer for a hot day.

Refreshing easy drinking beer low on aromas and flavors. Ultimately too close to water but a superior alternative to all the big brand light beers.

Light beer with small head and fresh aroma. This is a great beer when its hot out and your sitting by the pool.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2015 12 oz. bottle Chalice Best by 07/26/15 A: A hard pour yields a pale yellow beer with a half inch head of white fading to a pillow in the center of the glass. Crystal clear. Busy carbonation S:Crackers and grass. Very light smell. T: Light tasting sharp cracker malt flavor with a juicy hop backup. Light in flavor also but great balance and light, crisp, tasty and refreshing. M: Snappy crisp bite and sparkly light body mean this is made for drinking in quantity. Very clean and finishes tart and dry. O: A nice low ABV surprise. I can see myself tearing through quite a few of these in the coming months. Nicely priced at $9/6 means a must try. Oh and extra respect for USDA Organic Certification.

Aroma: Lemony and lightly floral hop with lean hay malt bill. Appearance: Well carbonated pale yellow body with a frothy white head that settles into a bubbly skin. Flavor: Lemony/floral notes up front with a very compact dry hay character; the finish is mostly dry with some lemon peel. Palate: Light body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: A simple summer drinker, which seems to be what was intended. A good gateway for macro drinkers, I’d wager.

Bottle, overdue (best before 08/25/14) -- we’ll see how it holds up. Nose is lemony citrus, pale malt; pretty clear Sorachi contribution even yet, but some herbal mace/thyme/rosemary character that I don’t like -- like sticking your head into the spice rack. Pours pale, cloudy dull yellow with plenty of carbonation and a dense, rocky bright white head. Thin body is a wee bit metallic, semi-dry with only very light bitterness, mild citrus and mild bread, juice squeezed from pale malt. Lightly herbal with spice, e.g., presumed coriander, but still clean and refreshing. Hope to give it another shot when fresh. [2015.03.29:2.7]

Can in Moab.

Light yellow white wine colored pour, with a white head. Nose? What nose? Little bit of biscuit, little bit of pear. Mild cracker malts mingle with a orchardy hop that, now that I see it is in there, is recognizably Sorachi. (I guess that means it’s not recognizable. Oh well.) There’s not a heck of a lot going on here, but it’s a pleasant easy drinking low ABV beer that is super clean. I like their pairing suggestions; I’d much prefer this to e.g. a Japanese premium lager any time. Again, no reason to hate.

Bière assez légère, avec des notes de citron et un peu herbacée. Elle manque un peu d’alcool à mon goût pour avoir une plus grande longueur en bouche.
