COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale is a style of ale noted for its high hop content. The style of beer received its name in the 19th century when England controlled the country of India. With no refrigeration or pasteurization in those days, the British were challenged to brew a beer that would survive the long, hot trip to India and upon arrival, satisfy the British citizens and thirsty troops stationed there. In discovering that the hop flower is a natural preservative, the British brewed an ale with an abundant amount of hops, and it worked! Hundreds of years later, the style is still the favorite of many a craft brew drinker. Uinta’s Trader is a well balanced version of the traditional India Pale Ale. The beer is dry hopped with a generous amount of Centennial hops that give it a nice floral finish and a citrusy assertiveness without jeopardizing its malt flavor.

On draft at both my hotel and the SLC airport. Pours a lightly hazed light amber, slight head. Aroma is pleasant grapefruit oriented hops. Flavor matches, with a slight hint of caramel and biscuit malt, and a faint floral character. Overall a nice, sessionable session IPA. Nicely done, a great beer for the SLC ABV laws.

Small tan head, lasting, sticky lace. Ugly ass, murky, copper appearance. Soft, citrusy nose. Light bodied, watery, slightly prickly carbonation. Flat flavors of citrus and watered down malts. Dry finish, lil toasty, no bite. UUUURRPP. 12oz can from statelineliquors.

Aroma is floral citrus with a bit of caramel. Appearance is dark golden hazy with medium off white head that retains well. Taste is caramel malty and floral citrus aroma hopping. Very light bitterness for the style butnot out of balance. Palate is light and refreshing. Overall a pleasant beer. Very low bitterness hopping for what I had expected.Still not bad and an enjoyable drinker.

Appearance: very clear average gold color with a hint of amber, received off of draft with no head, lacing seems to be white Aroma: floral, pine, grass, very faint Taste: bitterness throughout, light notes of grass, flowers, and citrus, hints of very lightly toasted malt Palate: lively carbonation, light bitter aftertaste, light mouthfeel Overall: a good session beer, other beers in this style have much more flavor but this is now a bad beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Malty and piney hop aroma. Full flavored for a session ipa but a bit of an extract feel or yeasty ness to the beer. More piney than floral hops. Good but not great session ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from the Drinkery Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a huge frothy bubbly bone white head that persists forever leaving lots of stickies to the sides of the glass on the way down. Huge peppery, resinous, earthy, lightly onion hop aromas. Faint bready caramel maltiness barely backs up the huge hop aromas. The flavor holds more of the toffee caramel bread maltiness than the aroma suggested. Pine resin and dank hop flavors with a smooth but firm hop bitterness. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick watery mouthfeel. This is one of the better "session" IPA’s that I have had. I find most don’t have much body and seem very thin and watery whereas this one works a little better for me in that area.

12 oz can into a nonic. Pours clear and golden with a good sized off-white head. The head is durable and leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma: surprisingly strong aroma of piney-floral-grassy hops. Flavor: satisfying and well balanced, with less hop flavor than the aroma or IPA labelling suggest. O: an aromatic, low ABV, APA.

Can. Hazed orange-amber with a medium white head. Aroma is floral and hoppy with citrus and soft caramel. Taste is bigger toasted malt, grains, bready notes, light caramel, floral hops and citrus fruit. Body is medium with a light, bubbly carbonation and a soft hop bitterness. Ends with more citrus, floral hops, toasted malt and grains.
