3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3808) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 25, 2013
On tap at Sam’s, Durham, sometime last fall. Golden orange pour, minimal carbonation, just a few apple juice bubbles. Sharpish nose, more lemongrass bite than the pungency of most wet hops I’ve had. Occasional sweetness in the taste, but a lot more leafy and sharply bitter notes. Decent brew, but wasn’t crazy about it.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tmongoose (668) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 25, 2013
on draft and i hope this is the right beer i drank. they called it wyld extra pale. but had kind of a belgium funky yeast on the nose along with some hop action. weird combo. poured a hazy yellow color with white head. it was a citrus hop aroma. flavor was a touch sour and citrus hop and funk. decidely different and i dont think this is a real style but hey this is my opinion only. not one i would search out.

Really similar to Wyld. I’d say this was a little more herbal and less fruity; but I’m not sure I would have noticed if I wasn’t comparing them side-by-side.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 PhillyCraft (1984) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Pours a very carbonated lightly hazy copper color with small to medium white head. Aromas of taste of malt grains, very restrained hops, bread, earth, crystal and caramel malts. Finishes refreshing at 4 percent. Wish there was more citrus and hop bite in this one, too bland.

Smells nice. Light yellow in color. little head. tastes soupy and light. Can tell this is like an all day drink. A working man’s beer when you have to work and drink at the same time.

Wyld is easily one of the most disgusting liquids I ever had to taste. This is how I imagine a broom made of twigs would taste like. Never again.
