2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2009 Deep gold body with a hint of haze. lightly ywllowish, but mostly white head. The aroma was peanuts and orange peels. There was also some fresh celery. The taste had some nice orange peel pith and some peanut shells. There was a strong celery note throughout. decent enough, but a little boring.

Bottle’s a little past its prime but it’s not yet unreasonable to rate. First gusher I’ve had in a while, and I could rate scent from my dried-off (but still damp) table: heavy pine and grass, with earthy, needly hops; heavy, bitter caramel; doughy bready with lightly-singed crust. Clear, somewhat sickly pour with a creamy, fluffy beige head and tons of lace. Taste is very strongly bitter, of the brutal and resinous sort; dry and straw-strewn; very dry with a solid caramel base. Medium body and fully-hidden alcohol make this very sessionable ... also avoids shocking overuse of C-hops that pervade the American pale ale market (more of a Best Bitter). Clean, sharp, very refreshing quencher - another good one from Uinta.

Floating yeast, wonderful taste. Not so much for the aroma. Good pale ale. Maybe its the Organic that makes this one different.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a trans amber copper with a two finger creamy offwhite head. The nose is hoppy, mild citrus, . The flavor is mildly sweet, crisp bitterness, nice balance between malt and hops, some citrus peel, a mild corn flavor and a very mild peanut shell flavor. Centennials??. Palate holds a nice medium bitterness with some sweetness. Not bad, easy to session, just nothing blowing me away.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a small white head. Nose is very hoppy and fruity. Flavor follows suit, but is a little watery. Fairly one-dimensional and could use a stronger malt backbone.

Draft at Peekskill Brewery. On the chalkboard as Wildfire Pale Ale, on their website’s draft list as Four Plus Organic Pale Ale. Pours a clear straw honey color with a thin white head. Some lacing. Light sweet hop notes with citrus, pine, pineapple, and grassy notes. Sweet citrus flavors lead into a lightly grainy gentle finish with light bitter notes.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a foggy gold with a bright white head. I head alot of bad things about organic beers but this was pretty good. Nice hoppy taste but I feel that it doesnt have alot of alcohol.

nifty fruit brew that is bright and a bit different! nicely hopped and a bit sweet with not too much body. actually a bit light in body with a wispy yet substantive enough carbonation! seems stronger in alcohol and i like it as a hop head for my session beer. lightness in the malt presence doesnt confront my sensibilities as the fruit provides diversion.
