Bottle, as the WIldfire Extra Pale Ale. Hazy orange-brown pour with a pillowy white head. Floral and grapefruit hop aroma. Big grapefruit up front in the flavor, then things go downhill a bit. Kind of light after that, kind of peculiar. Despite the definite grapefruit notes, the beer doesn’t strike me as very hoppy. There is almost no malty sweetness. Light to medium body with fizzy, above average carbonation. Short finish of light fruitiness. Overall, not sweet enough, although it is interesting.

Bottled, 355ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Orange gold with big white head. There is an initial fruity nose with the promise of plenty of hops. This transfers in to the beer, the body is light and crisp, there is a biscuity malt, but the big star is the fruity hop flavours, there is a bitter orange alongside a sharp passion fruit type flavour, refreshing, bitter for an APA, I really liked it and proof, if it were needed, that American beers don’t necessarily have to go big.

Bottle at home. Pours clear orange with a large, foamy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is peach esters, light herbal hops, and biscuit malt. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness, light esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Yellow pour with an crazy big white head. Aroma is smelly. Some light lemon and soapy hops. Flavor is a bit better...not much. Way too much carbonation. Light lemon notes and some watered down caramel malt. Meh.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with douglas88 (thanks!). Poured a medium and lightly hazy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of cearal, grains, vegetables, and earth. Watery tastes of the aromas. Very thin and watery body. Next...

Bottled (One of my twelve lost (for now) notes, so this is as well as I remember). Light golden. Citrussy fruity hop. Quite light of body. No sweet crystal malts. Pleasant enough.

A lot of decent drinking bitterness. Good For an organic beer, and sesionable alcohol is appreciated. Lots of lace.

3fourths (7797) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 5, 2013
bottle bbd april 14, 2013. hazed rich gold body with a fine white head and medium effervescence. pleasant hop aroma of dried pineapple, citrus pith and melon. yeast is mild but with surprisingly nuanced: lightly estery and musty aroma and flavor, lending a softness to the already soft malt. lightly sweet; medium-low bitterness; yeast becomes starch-heavy and vitamin-like as it opens; body seems to weaken and become more watery. overall a respectable product but it lacks vibrancy and intrigue, so it’s not something I imagine myself craving. there’s some nutt-y and mushroom-y English ale yeast play here, sometimes enjoyable but other times unpleasant and sourish.

Bottle. Golden with a white head. Aromas are peach and grapefruit with spiced oranges. Slightly nutty with floral notes. Flavours are caramel with yeast, oranges and perfumed soap. Dry on the finish. Good.
