COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear copper color with a large frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malts, nutty notes. The taste is caramel malts, nuts and a mildly fruity finish. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite drinkable. Solid beer.

I am not generally a lager fan. However, I am fully enjoying this winter special from Uinta. They never disappoint. Rich flavor.

Bottle. Pours a very clear but dark amber color with a small head. Nose is a little toasty, actually. Slight toasty flavor, too, with some great malty tones in there. Good lager...

Roasted malt and stewed vegetation for a nose. Dark copper color. Earthy, starchy malt taste. Stalked veggies and some tin. Easy drinker all around. Reminds me of cheaper dark lagers. I too have fallen on the ski slopes of Utah, and drinking beers at elevation likely contributed.

12 ounce bottle. Bright copper color topped by a small bubbly off-white head. Grainy, earthy toasted malt aroma. Mild toasted malt flavor with a very light biscuit, caramel backbone. Dryish grassy hops are indistinct. Finish is dry and uninspiring. Lacks complexity or depth. I was hoping for more.

What can I say? It’s a bit toasty lager! Its nose is full of caramelly and malty sweetness. It has a beautiful color: golden-amber with barely off-white head. Mthere is no hop aroma and not much bitterness, though it does have a slightly vegetal kick(...my first thought was ’asparagus’). But it is what it is, a lager.

Bottled 3/8/12. Nice red color, good head. Smells malty, grains, lager-like I guess. The taste had a very interesting cereal flavor without being too grainy. I actually liked it. Overall it was nothing too crazy but I wouldn’t turn down a bottle if someone offered me another. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-04-2012 02:03:14

Bottled on March 8th - yea, I’m drinking a winter lager in late spring - what’s it to you, huh? - pour is amber with a light haze - nose is lightly estery, with moderate husky graininess, toffee - a bit watery in texture and thin in body - carbonation is moderate and beefs up the mouthfeel somewhat - flavor is somewhat dry, with a lot of the huskiness from the aroma, a touch of roasted nuts - a touch of spiciness on the tail end - not that good, but not as terrible as some of the ratings suggest.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a nice deep copper with a large two inch light tan head that lasts. Taste is of roasted malt, caramel, hops, pine, resin. Similar aroma. The body is light and watery, but decent. The finish is rather clean. Easy to drink and rather enjoyable, but maybe because it is the beginning of spring, it is slightly disappointing.
