COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle is dark red with creamy white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, slight grain, hints of spice and a slight off note, some minerals as well. Taste is very watery with slight caramel and spice notes that don’t quite work, some slight biscuity notes with a hint of vanilla, finish very watery as well.

pours a hay colored amber, clear, with fluffy almost nitro looking off white head. Aroma of toffee, butter, light hay. Flavor has notes of caramel and hay with a lot of bubblegum on the finish. Medium bodied. Not bad but slightly lacking.

Clear, deep amber appearance with a small beige head and decent lacing. Muted, slightly vegetal, aroma saved by caramel in the background. Grainy flavors up front; turned sweet (as in honey and caramel) before getting to the aftertaste, where the sweetness lingered. Light-to-medium bodied mouthfeel, modestly hopped, with a short lived finish.

wow. bad to an unreal level. watery and thin, completely flabby due to near zero acid, low hop rate and fizzy, disjointed carbonation. toast, caramel and toffee, etc., but the extremely watery texture and stewed caramel / celery / moldy fruit stew thing is totally off-putting.

Bottle @ home. Dark copper appearance with a small to medium-sized tan head. Very toasty, hugely nutty, dark caramel malty nose. Smooth, lightly syrupy mouth feel. There’s a huge nutty, caramel taste in the flavor that’s very rich and roasty. The whole flavor seems a little over the top.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting amber hgead. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and toasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, toasted malt and light earthiness with a crisp lingering malty finish.

12 oz bottle from Douglas88. (Name is familiar to skiers who know what a yard sale is; I often help others collect their gear after they conduct one) Nose is nutty with some caramel, and yeast. Rusty red with a medium off white head. Flavor is caramel and a little toast. Nothing spectacular but it is drinkable, a decent average brew.

Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber to light brown. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, toasted grain/cereal), lightly hoppy (apricot), with a note of decaying plums. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Quite disappointing. Not much malt or hop character in the nose and it has a rotting fruit odor too. Bland in the mouth with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. A dumper.

12oz bottle poured into a Lager Glass at 42°. Color is a deep golden that has a bit of amber. Carbonation is good producing a thin white head. Aroma is a slightly sour malt scent. It has a light body with a crisp light mouth feel. Flavor is light caramel and a touch of hops then a very light bitterness. After taste is clean leaving you with a smooth feel. Overall this is an easy drinking brew.

Tap. Pours an amber color with a thin head. Aroma of grassy hop and some light spicy notes. Flavor is lightly metallic with malts, and hops. Overall, flavor is weak. Nothing to write home about.
