COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

Poured from can. Copper color with off white head. Toasted malt aroma with light citrus and herbal notes. Flavor starts out toasted and caramel malt followed with some vanilla. Finishes very clean light floral hop. Kind of a creamy vanilla aftertaste. Very smooth and clean beer.

Transfer from BA review on 3-26-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice copper color with a big and billowy off white colored head. The head has huge carbonation bubbles entrapped within, which pop over time to leave a good level of lace on the sides of the glass as the head recedes. Smell – The smells is mainly of a roasted malt and a light amount of a toffee sweetness. Mixed with these are subtle aromas of a citrus hop and a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Taste – The taste begins with a lighter roasted malt flavor with a touch of caramel. The caramel gets stronger more toward the middle of the taste, only to fade again slightly more toward the end. While the caramel changes in intensity the roasted malt flavor remains relatively constant throughout and creates a solid base for the brew. Toward the end, a bit of a bitter grapefruit citrus hop and floral hop flavors come to the tongue combining with the more roasted flavors of the brew to produce a lingering, lightly sweetened, and somewhat bitter roasted flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel - The body of the brew is on the thinner to average side in terms of creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. The thinner to average body and average carbonation are a nice compromise between the drinkability and lighter abv of the brew but yet still can uphold the roasted flavors of the beer. Overall - An easy drinking and rather flavorful brew for only a 4 % abv brew. A nice session winter style lager.

Draft in Vegas, baby! Clear amber color, thick white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of white pepper. Taste spiced bitter straw.

WTF is going on with this beer? I’ve never had anything like it before, so it gets points for creativity. However, I don’t really care for it. Sweet, malty, strange hop bite, an aftertaste I can’t put my finger on. Perplexing...

Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, bran muffins, wheat bread. Amber with an orange glow, and a mostly fading off-white head. Toasty and spicy with a subtle sweetness. Light-medium bodied.

pours clear dark golden-orange with a small yet persistent off-white cap, some lacing traces. toasted spicy maltiness, few well-dosed caramel and nutty malts, noble grass and savant pepper, soft rounded lager fruity notes, light earthy and floral notes. moderate carbonation, light body - never watery, dry crisp herbal-grassy-peppery finish. circumstantial appreciation: it’s the first day of spring and it’s sort of snowing. highly quaffable and very well crafted.

Tried one immediately after skiing 8 runs in 4 hrs. @ Mad River Glen VT - quite restorative! Great looking and decent flavor, with appropriate balance of malt & hops. Liked their Hop Nosh in a can as well.
