COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

At least it tastes like a lager, where many Viennas taste like ales. 4% can ruin a style that is usually strong, but it does not seem to hurt a lager. Not a bad beer overall.

On Tap – Light brown color with a thin head. The lager had a malty flavor with some light spices in the finish which was also very dry. Some smokey and deep dark malts used.

Bottle. Aroma of bittering hops, soft berries, lager yeast, toasted malt. Flavor has an herbal woody feel with the toasted malt and lager yeastiness cutting through. Medium-bodied, a bit on the weak side, though does have a semi-rich, earthy finish. Not bad stuff, but certainly better to be had.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is caramel, toast, slight berry. The flavor is caramel, toast, malty, rich. A nice easy drinking amber lager. Not an interesting beer to me.

Cinnamon caramel oak toast—not a new breakfast cereal but what i smell. I taste Wheat toast, lemon, non-maple syrup. Clear ruddy amber with a quick tan head A little thin in the mouth. Thin sticky finish.

Draft in Vegas, baby! Clear amber color, thick white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of white pepper. Taste spiced bitter straw.

Poured from can. Copper color with off white head. Toasted malt aroma with light citrus and herbal notes. Flavor starts out toasted and caramel malt followed with some vanilla. Finishes very clean light floral hop. Kind of a creamy vanilla aftertaste. Very smooth and clean beer.

Medium amber color, small head. Aroma is malty and appley fruity. A medium bodied Vienna. Malts are mild yet flavorful. Hops are also mild. Mild tasting beer, yet it does have some flavor to it. I do wonder how you can get ANY flavor out of a beer that’s limited to 4% alcohol. Nothing really good or bad to say about this beer. Drinkable but nothing special. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty.

I say this beer lands on the ale side. Malty aromas. Somewhat sweet to dry in the taste. Very little presense of hops. Not too bitter or dry in the aftertaste. Not a bad beer.

Clear, amber/copper color, decent ring of beige foam above, assuredly slimming down to a miniscule size. Aroma: Very malty, coppery, plentiful yeast in the nose, with a definite coppery feel, and a hint of fruit. Taste: very mild, with little hop presence, and toffee-ish malt tones. Mouthfeel is negligible, and the body is a little less than medium. Nothing wrong with that, though, it’s par for course for an amber lager. Flavor isn’t as full as I’d like, however, and points are lost there. but it is tasty, if a bit too tinny, and extra-drinkable to be sure. For the style, it’s above average, but no better.
