COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

Pours clear amber with a fairly thick and fluffy eggshell head. Aroma is malty and a little fruity, not particularly strong or impressive. Malty flavor is not complex, but very drinkable; hints of vanilla and honey pop up as it goes across the palate. Texture is smooth and a little fizzy, average but still pleasing. If not a memorable beer, certainly good by itself or with a meal.

Pours a clear copper/brown color. A slight sweetness. The low alcohol sets this up as a pretty light beer. Toasted caramel malt aroma. Toffee and a slight bitter finish. Quick finish.

pours a hay colored amber, clear, with fluffy almost nitro looking off white head. Aroma of toffee, butter, light hay. Flavor has notes of caramel and hay with a lot of bubblegum on the finish. Medium bodied. Not bad but slightly lacking.

Roasted malt and stewed vegetation for a nose. Dark copper color. Earthy, starchy malt taste. Stalked veggies and some tin. Easy drinker all around. Reminds me of cheaper dark lagers. I too have fallen on the ski slopes of Utah, and drinking beers at elevation likely contributed.

12 oz bottle. Deep amber/copper color and clear with a small white head and no lacing. Aromas of toasted grains, bready malts and hay. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation. Flavor is mostly toasted and caramel malts, faint honey and vanilla sweetness with a light hop bitterness that finishes dry. Pretty crisp and clean. Meh, not for me.

WTF is going on with this beer? I’ve never had anything like it before, so it gets points for creativity. However, I don’t really care for it. Sweet, malty, strange hop bite, an aftertaste I can’t put my finger on. Perplexing...

Bottle. Pours a rusty amber with a small passive white head. It’s gone before you know it! Aroma seems faint. Light fruit, perhaps, and a mild maltiness. It barely has an odor. The slightest loss of your olfactory senses would render this the beer odorless. Taste is a bit better. Some floral notes, more fruit and a pleasant maltiness attempt to balance it. It’s actually pretty flavorful for 4%. Body is a bit thin and somewhat carbonated. Finish is more fruit and malt. Thinned, however. Lacks a decent finish. Not horrible though.

Pellucid amber color, thin head and light lacing. Nose of light cinnamon, crystal malt and a snappy grassy hop note. The flavor has a decent body with lightly metallic caramel malts and a bit of cold carbonation and hop bitterness; not very pronounced though. The finish is metallic and a bit skunky and showing more of the adjunt side of lagers. You need a very fine and/or clean palate to really get anything out of this. Light, uninspiring and low alcohol. Bad combination.

Bottle. Not a whole lot of aroma comes from this beverage, slight malt smell. Flavor is a little to be desired. Malty, hoppy, flavor is a little too watery for my tastes. Not awful, just not great.

Tap at the Tram Club, Snowbird, UT. Clear amber pour with a foamy off-white head. Aroma and flavor are all malt, with just a touch of roasty nuts. Thin bodied. Highly drinkable, but not much going on.
