schm1005 (150), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Oct 17, 2002 Good malty arouma, smooth palate, solid flavor and reddish hues which compliments the flavor. This is the best beer at the pub. herbstress3 (221), Bellingham, Washington, USA Oct 21, 2002 Best beer I’ve tried here since most taste and look the same. This on the other hand has a distinct flavor and great color. jazz88 (2206), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 22, 2003 Tap. Brown mahogany color with a tan head. A great aroma with fruits and malts. Strong malt and hop flavor. acrdz (4379), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 19, 2004 Dark ruby red, thick lacing. Thick scotch and nuts, some alcohol. butterscotch and toffee as well. Dry finish. Ungstrup (11382), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 26, 2005 [Growler] A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity, but also prunes and some burnt detergents. The flavor is dry roasted and very spicy - with coriander standing out, which makes me think of a Belgian Ale. The end is very dry.
