Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 8, 2007 Canned, Organic Pilsner. Very hazy straw colour. Hop nose (Sterling?) with light bready backbone. Low bitterness, mossy hops, fresh breezy malts. The freshness of the malts really wins the day for this brew. CapFlu (3273), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 19, 2007 (Can) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. One of the best pilsners I’ve sampled. Pours a white foamy head with a deep golden body. Nose of grains with a hoppiness. Pleasant. Very crisp and enjoyable flavour. One of my favourites for this style. tallmatt67 (99), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 30, 2005 canned. Poured an attractive rich gold, quite cloudy. Impressive long-lasting luxurious foam head persists to the last sip. Fresh grainy nose, great malt flavor (with a softness that seems like wheat malt) and an assertive sqeaky crisp hop bitterness that doesn’t overwhelm the finish. Nice hint of apple that complements the crispness. Clean finish with evaporating smooth bitterness. Very nicely done! I I have to say it’s both soft AND crisp. Can that be? This beer was handed to me warm and stayed in my cooler for at least 4-5 months- the can made it taste as fresh as the day it was brewed! acrdz (4285), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 19, 2004 Ok, I figured this out. They gave this to me as the Lunar Harvest Ale, an 8% strong ale, but what I really got was the pilsner. Slightly cloudy yellow, big frothy white head... grainy and wheaty presence... apple and pear and bread nose. jazz88 (2205), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 22, 2003 Tap. Nice refreshing pilsner with a good malt balance. Light golden color with a light white head.
