Canned, Organic Pilsner. Very hazy straw colour. Hop nose (Sterling?) with light bready backbone. Low bitterness, mossy hops, fresh breezy malts. The freshness of the malts really wins the day for this brew.

Ok, I figured this out. They gave this to me as the Lunar Harvest Ale, an 8% strong ale, but what I really got was the pilsner. Slightly cloudy yellow, big frothy white head... grainy and wheaty presence... apple and pear and bread nose.

Maybe I was just in the mood for this, but I thoroughly enjoyed this pils. Pours pale yellow, with a thin schmear of white foam on top. Grainy, lightly spicy, lightly toasty aroma. Flavor is also grainy, with a very asssertive hop bite at the end. Very clean palate, no off flavors and seems to be very fresh. From a can, and served fairly cold.

Hazed yellow pour with watery white head and lace. Lemon and paper aroma. Lemon, sour malt, and skunk. Thin and watery. Not as good as the number indicate.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(Can) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. One of the best pilsners I’ve sampled. Pours a white foamy head with a deep golden body. Nose of grains with a hoppiness. Pleasant. Very crisp and enjoyable flavour. One of my favourites for this style.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap from Organic Brewers Fest... Poured pale yellow-golden with a white head. Well carbonated. Pretty funky taste. Too much cracker grains with a short, dry yeast finish. Unbalanced.

12 oz can from a non RB friend who comes to the Bistro’s Fests! Thanks Tim! Nose of a hint of citrusy hoppiness, a sweet caramelly malty note, and some light fruitiness; hazy yellow with a big, glass-lacing, white head; flavor is lightly bitter, with some caramel and golden raisin notes; finish is slightly more bitter than the first taste. And I agree with Todd (CapFlu), excellent! Wish I could get these here; will have to look for a case for sessioning when I hit the Bay area.

Whitish yellow, white cover. Aroma is grassy, sweet pils malt. Taste is again sweet, crisp, grassy. Really fantastic.
