liinis (393), Finland Apr 7, 2008 Can’t recommend this one. dirty beige head dark brown liquid. nothing to do with its name "traditional home brew" fonefan (4328), Ulfborg, Denmark Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. 120cl plastic. [Tasting @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen]. Unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate grass, berry - friut, sytetic sugar. Flavor is heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (110308) bager (2027), Copenhagen N, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Plastic bottle. Hazy reddish brown with a small white head. Sweet and malty with notes of ryebred and turnips. Very artificial and thin. FatPhil (2063), Espoo, Finland Mar 28, 2008 1.5l bottle (K market)
Hazy dark brown, brief fizzy head. A huge dose of rye malt and raisins in the aroma, sweet and like a bread pudding. Fizzy carbonated palate, but let’s not forget this is trying to be like a soft drink. Slightly lemon-sharp sour tinges, but a good caramel-sweet malty body packed with vine fruits. Decent but simple malty and raisiny finish. This could with very few changes be a _very_ good LA - if they got rid of the artificial carbonation, and conditioned it in glass bottles, it would rival some of the better Latvian kvasses. Refreshing and tasty.
