3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
25cl bottle. Cloudy golden colour with huge soapy head. Several tiny bits came out from the glass. Nose : yeast and banana, apricot, mandarine, bread. Sip : low density with good carbonation. Sweet grainy, bread flavour start, then covered by untypical for this style fruity and yeasty notes. Gets quite sour, like if we added a drop of a lambic. Sweet notes are comparable to a taste of a bread with sugar. Ends with moderate bitterness. Strange pils. But it’s a nice discovery.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl. bottle sampled @ GBF 2012 // light clear golden with a white head // smells rather fruity with spices and lightly hoppy, oranges and some sugar // taste lightly fruity, peaches main, touch orange, light yeast, round caramel, sugar, honey and melon, light hops and spices in the finish // fittingly well carbonated, easy to drink // not even remotely a pilsner, it is nice to finally try a Belgian pilsner which is actually worth drinking, not sure what style this should actually be but I like it, sessionable

Very nice pils! Malty, very refreshing, golden colour. Good bitter beer, a lager where you taste the hops.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
26/VI/2012 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: V/13 (2012-655) Thanks to John for the bottle!
Clear blond beer, big creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet and fruity, bit sugary, some ripe banana. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet banana, bitter hops, green banana, bit sugary. Aftertaste: some spices, overripe banana, chemical bitterness. Not bad, but a pilsener? Weird man, weird.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Hazy light golden-straw colored pour. Small white head that quickly collapses to a thin layer of bubbles. Little bit of lacing. An old earthy aroma mixed with a sour maltiness. Carbonic. A sweet skunky flavor. Dry hops and a little bit of malt. Smooth and sweet finish with a bitterness. Not bad, but kind of like an old Pilsner Urquell.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange golden colour, white head. Slightly sweet aroma, some caramel, lots of malt, some touches of hops. Malty flavour, rather sweet, nice notes of bitter hops. Quite dry and hoppy finish. Nice one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
7th March 2010. Hazy gold beer. A little light white frothy head. Typical lagerish malt nose. Rich malt with a little caramel in there - turns fairly hoppy bitter for a Pils. Dry crisp finish with the malt turning creamy. Full flavoured Lager.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle at Het Warm Water, Brussels. Shared amongst the London crew. Hazy golden with frothy white head that diminished. Very grainy on the nose. Hints of citrus and spicy hops but it’s all very subtle. Rough on the palate and gym locker funk in the finish. Tough to drink.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
From Het Warm Water in Brussels. Given how good the other Girardin beers are, this was a bit of a disappointment. Orange gold colour. Very cereal on aroma. Perfumed bitterness on finish. Don’t like the malts much or the finish.
