goozen (740), Leiden, Netherlands Mar 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 16, 2007Tap at ZBF. One of the better Pilsener brews of Belgium. It got some fruity candy taste and some sweet hoppy aftertaste.
At last found the bottle version at the Schans, Uithoorn. This one got more caramel taste, and looks darker. bierkoning (4716), La Tropica, Netherlands Sep 30, 2004 Gold to light amber color, creamy head. A hint of honey i the aroma. Orange and honey in the flavor, combined with just a bit of hops. Tastes a bit like a diluted Girardin geuze white label, but certainly has complexity and a fine flavor. A pleasant surprise, but hardly a pilsener. FatPhil (2088), Espoo, Finland Mar 9, 2008 Is this really the same beer - I can’t believe this was a pilsener?!
Draught (Wildeman, Amsterdam)
Dull orange, slightly hazy, small head. Massive woody malt-whisky aroma, but without any alcohol of course - lots of walnut too. Amazingly nutty taste - walnut through and through. Nutty and sweet finish. Not drying or harsh - beautiful. If it’s a lager - it’s the best lager I think I’ve ever had! MrWalker (928), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 28, 2005 Keg @ Akkurat, Stockholm Nice white head. Damp cellar aroma a la northern Germany. Taste is more like a Franconian or north Bavarian pils. Clean maltiness that ends in a fruity style. Could almost be mistaken for a cheap Czec beer...maybe. Surprisingly good. henrikb (1059), Aarhus, Denmark Jun 24, 2006 Hazy golden, creamy white head; the aroma is pleasant and balanced, there is just way to little of it; Very pleasant body, full, balanced to the bitter side, a little sweetness; sharp carbonation; perfect fill in finish, which is very constant (no ”holes”, no watery parts, just smooth), soft with bitter touch, malty , nuts, bread, but behind it fresh red berries like strawberry. The best Pilsner I have had.
