UPDATED: SEP 12, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy dark brown, firm creamy head. Very herbal with lots of almond character and toffee. Sweet with soft mouthfeel. Flavourful with notes of spun sugar, fur needles and caramel. Low bitterness. Too sweet, but still very enjoyable with all the flavours itís packed with.

Bottle. Quite spicy, with lots of those christmas cake type flavours. Raisins, christmas spices. Quite a soft, yet sweet mouthfeel, some alcohol noticed in the finish. A little too sweet for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very syrupy and sweet. A good winter warmer. A bit too yeasty for my taste. A standard Belgian strong ale. Should not be served cool as they clain in the comercial description.

Bottle conditioned, at Essen Kerstbierfestival 2004. Deep red brown, moderate off white head and gentle condition. Low caramel with a strange trace of mint in the nose, slightly sweet in the mouth with caramel dominant but still with some mint apparent. Low but lingering caramel in the finish.
