UPDATED: SEP 12, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy dark brown, firm creamy head. Very herbal with lots of almond character and toffee. Sweet with soft mouthfeel. Flavourful with notes of spun sugar, fur needles and caramel. Low bitterness. Too sweet, but still very enjoyable with all the flavours its packed with.

Bottle. Quite spicy, with lots of those christmas cake type flavours. Raisins, christmas spices. Quite a soft, yet sweet mouthfeel, some alcohol noticed in the finish. A little too sweet for me.

Mads Langtved (2245) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - AUG 14, 2005
Very syrupy and sweet. A good winter warmer. A bit too yeasty for my taste. A standard Belgian strong ale. Should not be served cool as they clain in the comercial description.

Roasted and burnt malts are evident. Caramelized candy sugar with a bit of prune. Spicy and mild pepper notes with a bit of liquorice. Nice mouthfeel with a slight backend astringency.
