kiefdog (474), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 7, 2008 33cl bottle from Knightly Spirits (Orlando, FL). Pours a dark golden color with thick and creamy off-white head. Good retention and lacing. Lively carbonation. Aroma is wheat, grain, sweet malt, ripe fruit, and candy sugar notes. Flavor is much of the same with sweet malty notes and a syrupy mouthfeel. Generally medium bodied with a smooth sweet finish. Nice ale. wyzzywyz22 (387), Wirral, Merseyside, England Aug 8, 2008 Bottle, Belgian Belly, Chorlton. Poured very lively; dark golden colour with a dissipating chef’s hat off white head. Lots of particles floating around. Aroma was yeasty, with elements of fruit and cloves. Flavour wasn’t the greatest really. Too sweet and bready for my liking and very little in the finish. Ok, but largely disappointing. Beerman6686 (780), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 1, 2008 Poured an orange amber color with an off white head. Aroma mainly fruity with some spices. Flavor was much the same except some caramel smoothness and some sour yeastiness in the finish. The aroma has fruits and spices with some yeast. The taste has nice touches of sweet and fruits, like citrus. Also some warm bitterness after tones. a good beer.
