Mar 16, 2007 Cask@St Albans BF 06. Quite decent, but a touch lighter than what i want in a stout. Some slightly roasty malt notes, with a dry, roasty, lightly bitter finish. needs more body.

Dec 31, 2006 Cask (gravity dispense) at St Albans Beer Festival, September 2006. Dark brown colour, with scant head. A light (bur not too thin), and dry, chocolate accented stout, with an undercurrent of dry, roast malt. Not a blockbuster, but an easygoing and pleasant stout.

Some roast aroma. Dark red coloured and slightly rich on the palate with a little dryness in a bitter lasting finish.
