Clear, white liquid is still, leaving some legs on the glass, though very thin.
Nose is very grainy, with some fusels and/or other such high alcohols. Papery and with plenty of husky/pulpy blandness. Kind of smells a little like a vodka. Fruits are quick to disperse and quite sharp, with unripened nectarine and vanillin dominating.
Flavor is chalk full of unwanted alcohols. Really surprising that a ginjo would show this much "cheap" alcohol apparency, but here it is. Appley/papery and just terribly underwhelming. Very dry. Not much redeeming quality. I guess it just goes to show that it’s not always about how much the rice is polished, but there must be a lot to do with the fermentation. Neutral palate, neither heavy nor light (though the alcohol really strips the palate on the finish).

bottle at Sushi Den, Denver. clean nose of rice paper (think raw spring rol wraps), pear esters and alcohol. clean taste as well with strong alcohol (I’d guess 17-18%), lightly sweet with mild pear esters and rice (of course). medium body with a syrupy texture and lingering oily alcohol coating the mouth. decent but doesn’t wow me at all.

palate is thin and slightly oily, aroma is harsh with strong alcohol presence. taste is common with rice and adjunct. best for the quick buzz

Poured clear, with a light yellow tint. Aroma of green apple and alcohol. Taste was dry, with some vanilla, and a strong alcohol presense.
