ansermadide (237), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 7, 2008 Updated: Sep 11, 2008(On tap at the brewery on September 6, 2008) Uncle Billy’s Back 40 Blonde Ale, on tap at the brewery. I missed this one (intentionally) last time I was here. It has a very yellow/orange, similar color but less cloudy than their hefeweizen. Its aroma like a lively lager, very light, bright... and its flavor a little hoppy, mostly fruity, almost sour... lemons, apples? Bockyhorsey (2033), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jun 29, 2008 Sampled @ Uncle Billys BrewCue. Aluminum tank aroma. Hazy gold body with white head. Starchy grains with some bitterness. Somewhat of a stale aftertaste on the palate. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA Mar 19, 2008 Pours a clear and golden color into the glass with a slight white head. Aroma is kind of plain, but a little earthy. Flavor is balanced with a little lemon flavor. Not creamy like I would expect a cream ale to be.
On tap. kidmartinek (734), austin, Texas, USA Feb 23, 2008 light cloudy yellow, no head. beautiful appearance. Nice outdoor aroma, medium light sweet smell. Slighty sour taste, perfect middle of the road carbonation. My favorite iteration of the style. Very small bite on the finish. Medium/light lacing on the glass. Good , good on a Texas Saturday afternoon. oreogobbler (174), Austin, Texas, USA Feb 6, 2008 Pours a clear golden yellow. Little to no head. Lightly carbonated. Has an earthy pine aroma. Smooth full flavor, some hops and some fruit notes.
