lb4lb (1545), Austin, Texas, USA Jun 25, 2007 Updated: Mar 23, 2008A light couldy almost orange juice color pour with almost no white head. Subtle smell, and a mild hef clovey, spiced taste and a strong lemony presence. Mildly spicy up front, with a hearty wheatiness in the finish for me. A good lemony, flavorful hefeweizen, even though its not one of my favorite styles. alexanderj (1404), San Diego, California, USA Jun 30, 2008 On tap at the brewpub; nice cloudy yellow color with an average white head. Aroma was predominantly banana/bubblegum. Lacked much spicing or balance in the flavor. Found it a bit sweet; lacked great flavor for me, but it definitely was solid. The beer looked and smelled really good. fly (1249), austin, Tejas, USA May 25, 2007 I would like to start this off as an attack against Brian Peters, the brewer, and slander his name and abilities, but dang if he don’t know how to brew.
Cloudy as can be - so I was scared and hid under the table until Doug threw bits of bbq to coax me out and reminded me that bastards like Brian actually know what their doing and that it was meant to be this way. Even though I understand that I will now die since I drank this, it was good. I even ordered two, and had recently stated that I was bored with wheat beers. Mighty tasty. Entered as "American Wheat" but stylistically much more European. Believe I was told that Tettnang hops were used. Even though the finer points of life and beer are lost on me, I enjoyed this immensely kidmartinek (776), austin, Texas, USA Feb 23, 2008 Updated: Aug 19, 2008 Deep, cloudy yellow, candy sugar sweet aroma. Aroma is also very dirty, dirt earthen and beertank-like. Very cloudy, Small lacing. Fizzy mouth feel but not overly so. Just enough to be differently satisfying. Bold strong wheat flavor, accentuated by the fizz, but the taste is a little watery on the finish. Taste also has orange citrus flavor. The fizz lingers on the finish for a minute or more which is very satisfying. slimchill (694), Austin, Texas, USA Feb 6, 2008 Draught. Lemon and banana aromas with various yeast subtleties. Cloudy yellow with a good white head. Hardy and refreshing. Good balance of acidity and bitterness with some spice and ester presence.
