Red amber with a silmy white head and good lacing. Subtle hoppy cranberry bread smell. Taste is hoppy and clean - easy to drink. Not watery at all. Actually it has a nice hop presence. Palate is fitting for the flavor and the style - not super creamy or thick but it works well here. fly (1249), austin, Tejas, USA Apr 24, 2008 Where the hell is Brian to tell me what I have before me and tell me how much I like it and why? He’s really starting to piss me off, making these new beers all the time so that anytime I head south to my brother’s or on any other errand I feel I have to check it out and then Doug gives me grief fot not having taken him.
Rather thick and chewy and hoppy and nice. Not crazy about it, but that;s not to say I didn’t like it a lot. Does that have you scratching yuor head in wonder? Good. Now go try it for yourself. lb4lb (1545), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 20, 2008 Was told this was somewhat of a hoppy amber which seemed about right. Pours a semi hazed red to amber color with an off-white head which left good lacing. Smell was balanced citrusy fruitiness and caramel. Flavor was balanced lightly fruity maltiness leaning hoppy towards the finish, but I found the flavor in the middle to be a bit bland and dull. Feels like it needs a touch more body and flavor in the middle. Still not bad, but not their best effort.
