RichardGretton (2680), Leicestershire, England Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Brownish beer with a strong head. The aroma is mildy dry and sour, and the flavour is vinous, fruity and sour. Overall a reasonably refreshing beer. Pub (4104), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Apr 9, 2008 Bottle conditioned, 500ml, from The Real Ale Shop, Wells next the Sea, Norfolk. Amber with slight head. Another tainted British Bottle conditioned beer, sour with over ripe fruitiness. Sweetish with a background farmy silage note. Not good. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England May 12, 2007 Cask gravity at Reading BF 2007. Cloudy amber with thin beige head. Bit sickly. Decent conditon but a bit odd. StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Oct 7, 2006 A light, golden amber colour with a strong, slightly frothy, white head. A distinctly hoppy aroma, with a hint of wheat, there is a touch of sweetness in the finish. The taste is again strong on the hop side, plus there is the wheatiness, almost reminiscent of a German Weiss Bier! Again, there is a slight sweet edge to the finish. The aftertaste is long and dry. Named after the local RSPB nature reserve. The back label suggests that the beer will mature for a year, left in the right conditions! (Bottle - Purchased from Branthill Farm’s “The Real Ale Shop,” the farm that supplies the brewery with its barley).
