COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s a simple fact of life: bacon makes everything better. From eggs to ice cream, delicious bacon is turning up just about everywhere, Our uncommon contribution to this cured pork renaissance is the Bacon Brown Ale. This is a West Coast Nut Brown Ale brewed with toasted buckwheat and a generous serving of bacon-cured pork.

From can. Pours a clear brown with a small, off white head. Aroma has caramel, malts, slight hops and maybe hints of bacon. Taste is more smoky with some toasted notes to it. Fairly sweet. Not much bacon i think, but still a simple and nice brown ale. Average to high carbonation and a semi-full body.

Big beige head. Clear deep dark red body. Fruity earthy odd aroma. Sweet fruity wild berry taste with smoky roasty notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, slightly flat mouthfeel. Sweetish fruity herbal wild berry aftertaste with perfumy candy notes. It’s really odd, but also quite nice. (0.564l can, from Kihoskh, Copenhagen.)

50cl can. I am a vegetarian, but also a ticker... ;-) clear brown, smooth light brown head. aroma is malts, faint mild hops and perhaps a slightly salty note. flavor is malts, almost no hops, ends also malty, very typical brown ale flavor i’d say. The only thing slightly indicating bacon added is a glue like palate, like the fat on meat. I can usually detect meat in quite small doses, only the palate gives the beer away. schlenkerla tastes lots more like meat than this one, and schelnkerla is even vegetarian.
