29th April 2013 Craft Islington. Almost clear amber beer, little white head. Palate is smooth but with a crispy trailing edge. A little creamy malt. Light marmalade hops and a whisper of red berry fruits. Slightly crispy finish. Okay.

Keg at Craft Brixton. A middle amber bitter, quite a strong bitter flavour to it, earthy, a bit unbalanced, slight hint of mushy veg, tough to get through. Neither me nor Muggins were huge fans of this one.

On tap, Csakajósör, Budapest.
Clear amber-reddish colored beer with a fine creamy off white head that stays on the surface til the last slip. Interesting aroma with some caramel and nuts, nutmeg, leather and light cocoa, lively herbs and green hops. Medium bodied, easy drinkable ale with a fine mouthfeel, at the first slip you cannot feel the hops but after a while it bits a strong. Nuts, caramel and light malt brings the base for the resiny and herbal bitterness. Yumm!

Keg at the euston tap. Clear Orange light amber. Spicy pepper aroma. Some pine needles in there as well. Flavour is medium sweetness. Good nutty malt. Spicy hop finish medium duration. Good caramel toffee notes as well. Not sure what the adjunct is, but it is a bit off putting.

400 ml draught at Olympen. Amber and crystal clear. Nice soft nutty malt aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Bready and crisp malt flavours. The hops hide well in the background. Nice fruity flavours. Well balanced. Soft texture, slightly oily even. Not bad, but not mind blowing.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar.
Pours clear orange red with a small, creamy, off-white film head. Aroma has pine, red currants, cardboard, some strawberry. Medium to high carbonation, dryish and kinda thin mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, red grapefruit bitter, piney, some cardboard again. Not a very succesful pale ale IMO.
