Can with Carla. Pours a clear orange yellow with no foam. Smells sweet of barley and maybe some honey. Tastes super sweet with hints of belgian yeast, honey, peanutbutter and two-row barley.

Hazy golden colour with pillowy white head and enticing aroma of corriander, fennel and dusty yeast. Head collapses after a minute or two. Full bodied with initial herbal sweetness making way to a shortcake malt centre and long biscuity finish with just a touch of fennel creeping in. its like a wit/lager hybrid.

Can shared with BenH @ BrewDog Edin, 280912 (Thanks!)
Orange, bit hazy, white head dissipates to nothing
Aroma - sweet cereal malts, some belgian yeast, bit of a herbal note, rather disjointed nose, boring, where’s the poppy seeds?
Taste - as aroma, just a bland sweet cereal beer with belgian yeast chucked in, soft pale fruit esters, no harmony between the flavours, rather poor
Palate - almost no carb, thinnish body, bit of a creamy texture. Finish as main flavour, bit of cardboard too.
Overall - This was a mess to be honest, certainly not worth £6 in BrewDog for a can. In fact - I wouldn’t bother if it was 50p in Aldi

Can at brewdog shared with stravale, barman sold this to me as an ’ipa’ - cheers. Pours golden with white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast esters, dried fruits. Taste is estery, banana, dried fruits. Extremely thin with a tangy mouthfeel. Not my thing at all

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Golden pour with a medium white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt and yeast. Light to medium body with flavors of spicy yeast, slightly sour fruit and malt. The finish is grainy with a tart fruity aftertaste. Just average overall.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
THOUGHTS: Unusual beer for a can. Quite Belgian. The poppy seeds seemed to detract from a nice beer. I thought I’d really enjoy this one, but I almost couldn’t finish it. It tasted nice, but the aftertaste was what put me off. Once the bottom of the can was poured in it improve slightly because it added more fruit flavors and covered some of the unpleasant one, but it was still there.
TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a hazy, dark yellow to light orange with a small, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had moderate light bread, toasted malt, and nutty malt; light to moderate cobweb, fruity, spice and dust yeast; pear; peach; pineapple; apricot; honey; light fruits; and slight burnt rubber. I think it was the poppy seeds, but to me it smelled a little like burnt rubber or an electrical fire. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly bitter; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet, slight to lightly bitter and lightly acidic. There was honey, candy sugar, something like burnt rubber or electrical fire, toasted malt, peaches, pears, apricots, canned fruit syrup, spicy yeast, dusty yeast and metallic hops. The light to medium body was syrupy then oily and a little dry with tingly carbonation and a chalky, dry, lightly astringent and slightly metallic finish.

16oz can, for $3.25, from Beer Run. Date on can is 8/17/2011. Really big foamy white head. Little decent loose lace. Mostly clear golden / yellow color. Very candy-sweet artificial fruit taste. Some melon, cantaloupe, watermelon flavors. Lighter carbonation, more dry texture, but sort of a sweet bite. Not really a fan of this.
