3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Pours a cloudy golden-yellow with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet malts, lemon and other citrus smells, poppy, honey, coriander, and some Belgian yeast.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet and lightly grainy malts with some lemon zest and other citrus flavor with a bit of coriander. Through the middle, some poppy comes through with some honey and Belgian yeast flavor. The finish is a mix of sweet malts, Belgian yeast, spice, and a bit of lemon peel with a hint of tartness.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet, and lightly dry and tart finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice BPA. Good overall balance with the poppy adding some nice flavor.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at Craft. Pale gold colour with small white head. Aroma is grape juice, sweet and fruity. Bit of white wine, bit apple and bit yeasty. Taste is very appley, and grape, and very Belgian style yeastiness. Dangerously drinkable and quite crisp. Very nice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
16 oz can. Cloudy pale orange hue with a collapsing white head; leaves a little lace and a constant ring of foam. Aroma is peppery, clovey, floral. Taste is lightly sweet, savory and full of spices--clove is strong. The Belgian yeast used imparts most of the character in this brew; Iím not really sure what toasted poppy seeds even taste like--I suppose itís a little nutty. Palate is a little thin, but this being a summer beer, thatís probably the brewerís intention. Very, very tasty and well-crafted. I could see myself pounding down quite a few of these in the hot summer heat.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
THOUGHTS: Unusual beer for a can. Quite Belgian. The poppy seeds seemed to detract from a nice beer. I thought Iíd really enjoy this one, but I almost couldnít finish it. It tasted nice, but the aftertaste was what put me off. Once the bottom of the can was poured in it improve slightly because it added more fruit flavors and covered some of the unpleasant one, but it was still there.
TECHNICAL: Can. Poured a hazy, dark yellow to light orange with a small, ever so slightly off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had moderate light bread, toasted malt, and nutty malt; light to moderate cobweb, fruity, spice and dust yeast; pear; peach; pineapple; apricot; honey; light fruits; and slight burnt rubber. I think it was the poppy seeds, but to me it smelled a little like burnt rubber or an electrical fire. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly bitter; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet, slight to lightly bitter and lightly acidic. There was honey, candy sugar, something like burnt rubber or electrical fire, toasted malt, peaches, pears, apricots, canned fruit syrup, spicy yeast, dusty yeast and metallic hops. The light to medium body was syrupy then oily and a little dry with tingly carbonation and a chalky, dry, lightly astringent and slightly metallic finish.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Refrigerated can from JoePeesie brewed on date November 9, 2012 poured into a shaker. Pours hazy golden with small white head that dissapates quickly. Some small bubble lacing, medium body, medium carbonation, and light herbal aroma (poppy). Taste is herbal (poppy seeds), off bread taste, some grass, hint of pepper, and little taste in the finish. Tastes old, I donít think I would like this even if it were fresh.
