3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 andrewturba (456) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 19, 2013
Pours a hazy light brown with a small off white head leaving a bit of lace on the glass. Aroma is sweet dried fruits, lemon grass, and caramel. Flavour is caramel, dark fruits, light alcohol, and mild lemon and lime.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Reimer96 (591) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 18, 2013
Pours a clear amber with a light brown head. Aroma of candy sugar, coriander, citrus, caramel and belgian yeast. Taste is caramel, brown sugar, lemongrass with some lime on the finish. Interesting take on a regular double as the added citrus does make the high abv very smooth however the beer doesn’t seem as full bodied as it could be.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 jbruner (1125) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2013
Can shared thanks to Tim and Rachel! Pours a deep copper brown with thin cap of tan filmy head and light lacing. Aroma is odd astringency followed by spice and caramel. Taste is slightly better if you can somehow close your nose to the odd smell. Nice sweet malty aftertaste. Weird.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 rbrazell (967) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2013
Thanks Tim and Rachel. Deep amber with a quickly fading head. Super synthetic raspberry and banana sweetness, Belgian candy sugars and not much else. Very sweet flavor with same fruitiness as the nose and a light spice and boozy end. Can't get down with this b
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 19Ei8hty (1077) - Washington, USA - APR 18, 2013
Deep mahogany clear body with bright ruby notes. Very belgian nose with sweet key lime notes. Smells a bit funky at first but evolves into greater complexity after it warms. Very sweet malty body consisting of a bready caramel character. Some golden raisin notes with sharp fresh grass and maybe plum and banana. Yeast notes are pervasive and the coriander is well done in how subtle its presence is made. It’s a little strange but does go together well.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Gramoit (252) - AUSTRALIA - APR 9, 2013
Pours amber, with a quick receding head. Very drinkable for 8.5 this beer has many flavours but none seem to take over, other than the toffee. Pretty good beer in the end, would like to have again as I could see myself rating this higher in the future.

16 oz can courtesy of bvc. The pour is slight haze brown copper golden with a small light tan head that falls quick. The aroma is lemon lime, green pepper, and the spice of coriander. The taste is initially a bunch of the lime flavor, moving into the coriander, and general yeastiness in the back. A mildly sweet nutty malt is present throughout. The lemon grass is all over the finish. Interesting flavors, decently integrated. Green apple comes out as it warms and detracts some from my enjoyment. The palate is medium bodied, softer carbonation, earth, vegetal, lemon grass in the finish. Fun beer, thanks Brandon.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 RapeBeer (19) - Indiana, USA - FEB 11, 2013
I used to be a huge sucker for interesting labels on beers. I quickly learned my lesson. After years of skepticism, I finally caved when this silly little can caught my eye. The color scheme on the can resembles that of some overblown iced tea, not a secretly delicious beer. I picked it up and read the description and saw coriander, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaf listed as flavors. I couldn’t help but pick up a 4-pack. I was nervous as I tasted my first sip but totally relieved when I had swished and swallowed my inaugural gulp. All the goofball flavors promised on the can came through but not in an overpowering or gimmicky way. Totally legit.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 patricks110 (1214) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 24, 2013
Quite nice actually with a bit of a roasted malt up front with candied raisins, caramel, toffee and a robust coriander. Sweet and well balanced flavour. The appearance is gorgeous with a bright ruby red tinge and a burgundian body. The head is almost non existant. The one discerning thing is that this is rather light bodided. Overall, quite nice.

16-oz can. Pours clear medium amber with a loose white head. Treacly sweet powdered sugar nose. Watery light body with too little carb. Reedy sweet mid palate, like raw sugar with a bit of citric acid. Tangy finish.
