3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
473 mL can. Never had a double from a can before. Never had a double with lime and lemongrass in it before, either. It wouldn’t occur to me that citrus would work with a double. This one is the right colour, although there is very little head. Mostly dates and prunes in the nose, but there is a hint of sweet lemon. The dried, sweet fruit is there, and prominent, in the flavour, as well. The citrus is subtle, and comes in at the end, cutting some of the sweetness. Low carbonation. Interesting, but too sweet.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a can. Murky reddish brown color, nice off-white frothy head. Strong lemon grass smell. Medium body, taste like mixing lime, tequila and beer, not bad but unique.

Great colour decent head and good lacing. Strong smell of lemon grass and sour dough bread. Sour taste with a strong lime overtone. Acidic finish.

16 ounce can from a trade with bytmesis. Thsi pours quite dark and is opaque. Some off white head leaves a ring and some blotches. An aroma of fruit more than Belgian notes. Almost something pumpkin with caramel and some lime. Interesting. The flavor is also interesting and has those flavors. Something like a dunkel comes through with alcohol. Rich malts and some dark fruit. Again, interesting.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Visual: Enticing ingredients but in a can... At least I already know this will be good based on their Baltic Porter and Golden State Ale. Pours cloudy dark mahogany brown with a small micro CO2 head, thin retention and some active streams.
Nose: Sweet caramel malts, with a hint of lime zest (7/10-strength)
Attack: fizzy-creamy, underlying lime sourness(3/10)
Mid-palate: (MAIN) sweet(9/10) caramel malts, chamomile
Finish: lemongrass + kaffir lime peel exhale, coriander dryness, alcoholic kick, malty-sweet light tangy finish.
Summary: A rather smooth brew but gets imbalanced toward the sweet side as it warms. I love the complexity that keeps it interesting with every sip and the creeper alcoholic effect.

Very drinkable Belgian style beer. Malty and slightly muted hoppy flavor. Highly recommended for anyone that wants a drinkable beer with a higher alcohol content

16oz can, can squeezes a little too much, something may be a miss.. beer pours with no carb. and I mean 0. some malty flavor and no lime, lemongrass or other flavor just malt.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can. Reddish brown in colour, hazy. Beige ring of head in the glass with very light lacing. Nose has lemon and lime notes and sweet toffee. Taste has some sweet toffee malts that fade into lemon and orangey hops, some coriander. Sweet finish, some toffee and brown sugar notes and notes of lime. Overall, a bit sweet for me, on the plus side it does drink lighter than a 8.5% beer should. Interesting beer, but not something I could drink more than one of.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours clear light brown, tan head. Nose is toast, phenols, hot alcohol. Taste is raisin/dried fruit, balance is toward the alcohol, a hint of lime that comes through in the finish, lots of caramel. Can’t say I care for caramel in my dubbels, throws it out-of-whack. Lemongrass? Somewhere in the heat. Not terrible, but I’m not a huge fan. Just a sub-par dubbel, from my subjective perspective.
