Draft at Beer Bistro. Pineapple hop/ester aroma and a hint of spiciness on top of a clean pils-like malt aroma. Pale amber color. Cloudy, why? Long-lasting, dense lacy head. Neutral malt flavor, a bit sweet. Interesting pineapple-peach profile. Carbonation a bit low by Belgian standards but works fine for draft. Outstanding.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Consumed at the source... Pours murky orangey brown and topped with a thin film of white head... Aroma of yeasty banana esthers, sugary. Where them hops? ... Banana yeasty and sweet upfront. Finishes just slightly dry with crisp carbonation. Missing the citra and simcoe. Slightly bitter ending. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation. Abv fairly non-obtrusive.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft pour on tap at Clybourn’s Belgian Fest 2013 (Chicago, IL). Pours a well hazed yellow golden hue, a firm haziness, dulled glow throughout. A big cakey brighter white head atop stays as a firm layer, laces well and sticks around well. Aromas show a bit of stink, some sulfur meets pineapple, yeastiness, and bready malts. A touch underdone? Some spice, bready and doughy sweetness, sweeter fruit elements. Initial is a bit fuzzy and well carbonated, honey crisp apples meet some honey, bready malts, touch of biscuit. Some gentle florals. Middle is sweeter, some pineapple and apple, bready and doughy malts, touches of honey. A touch of warmth, some yeastiness, mellow citrus grows. A bit of sweetness, this beer comes together a bit better into the backend. Some straw, doughy sweetness, touches of apple with a decent dry earthy hop component as we finish.
