COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer designed to help you beat the heat. So light and refreshing you may not realize when you finished your glass. Brewed with a good amount of wheat and a hint of caramel, hopped with Ahtanum and spiked with orange zest and juice, this one finishes very dry.

Bottle. This is farmhouse funk mixed with some citrus and black pepper. Very light on the palate. The flavor really brings the orange out.

Not a gusher, but quite effervescent, pours a watered down looking gold. Watered down is a bit how this tastes as well. Nice spice, could use more orange and barn yard funk. Good enough, with plenty of room for improvement.

[Bottle] Light amber in color with a considerable amount of haze to it. Notes of citrus, pear, tangerine and yeast in the nose. Lots of citrus and rind fruit notes in the flavor. Fruity hops come through as well. Lively carbonation. Grass and some sweet biscuity malts come out more in the finish. Seems a little heavy for a Saison, but the flavors were good. Tasting notes from Big Blue Craft Beer Festival in Sheboygan on 10/18/14.

bottle. Hazy golden with two finger head. Very citrus forward saison. I wish the yeast was a little funkier, but overall, this is a very tasty saison with a nice dry finish.

Paid $4.99 for a 500 ml bottle at Binny’s Lincoln Park location. Sticker on bottle of bottle reads Batch 45. Nice fresh citrus with orange peel, lemons and light yeast. Palate is subtle and clean. Lemon zest, oranges, spicy yeast notes and straw. The body is crisp and effervescent, really great feel becoming dry. Damn refreshing!

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a citrus rind with wheat malt and fruit esters. Flavor is a biscuit malt with a bit of bubblegum and citrus. The flavor could of used a bit more of the yeast used but this is still a well made beer just not in the top tier of the style. The blurb on the bottle says this finishes dry and it sure does. A bit too dry for me.

Medium sourness, hints of bread, spicy yeasts, showing citrusy orange notes through the medium length. Smooth and sessionable with an element of funk lingering.

Shared 500 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a hazed, orangey straw hue, with some white froth to the finger’s width head, and fair cling to the ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was pungent and rindy lemon, with hints of greenery, and floral perfume. Light bodied, with a low bitterness, the flavor was quite pleasant, taking a combination of light wheat, citrus, and lively effervescence, and forming a lightly tart, but silky mouthfeel.
