Paid $4.99 for a 500 ml bottle at Binny’s Lincoln Park location. Sticker on bottle of bottle reads Batch 45. Nice fresh citrus with orange peel, lemons and light yeast. Palate is subtle and clean. Lemon zest, oranges, spicy yeast notes and straw. The body is crisp and effervescent, really great feel becoming dry. Damn refreshing!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a citrus rind with wheat malt and fruit esters. Flavor is a biscuit malt with a bit of bubblegum and citrus. The flavor could of used a bit more of the yeast used but this is still a well made beer just not in the top tier of the style. The blurb on the bottle says this finishes dry and it sure does. A bit too dry for me.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium sourness, hints of bread, spicy yeasts, showing citrusy orange notes through the medium length. Smooth and sessionable with an element of funk lingering.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared 500 ml. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a hazed, orangey straw hue, with some white froth to the finger’s width head, and fair cling to the ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was pungent and rindy lemon, with hints of greenery, and floral perfume. Light bodied, with a low bitterness, the flavor was quite pleasant, taking a combination of light wheat, citrus, and lively effervescence, and forming a lightly tart, but silky mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle courtesy of Josh. Thanks. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a big foamy white head that displays crazy lacing. The aroma is moderate white fruits and Belgian yeasts. The taste is light and subtle with lemons, pears, mild spices and bready yeasts. The palate is light and the carbonation is soft. Finishes short and clean. Overall: nice saison.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Pours a mostly clean golden hue with a fizzy but mostly lasting head and okay lace. A tasty petit Saison where the orange addition really shines. Faint yeast spice and earthiness along with some husky wheat tones. Very refreshing way to start tonight’s activities. For those bitching about it being "thin"... well I am pretty sure that is the point and I for one quite enjoying the light effervescent palate.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Picked up a bottle while in Chicago. Pours a very foggy yellowed orange color with a huge chunky white head. Dissipates quickly. Not much aroma. Slight orange zesty nose. A very airy feel. An orange juice taste with a huge tongue tingle feel. A peppery finish. Slightly watery in the end. Overall not bad. The pepper notes may be a bit too strong for my liking and take this one over a little too much. Yet a very drinkable brew. As it warms a lot of lemon comes out and balances it out. A dry finish.

1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
I lived in Belgium for years and am very familiar with these beers. This pours hazy golden with a white head. The aroma is quite funky, the esters from the Belgian yeast being mingled with citrus aromas. The taste is the same, very citrusy and overpowering what would otherwise have been a very pleasant Belgian ale. I wish that they had produced a traditional ale instead of putting their whimsical spin on the style. I also get the hop oils coming through which disturb me greatly. I never tasted anything remotely like this in Belgium. Less is more needs less, a lot less, to be more.
