COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer inspired by the founder’s daughter, making its debut at her first birthday party. Just like her, the beer is truly a one of a kind. A Golden Strong at its core with Grains of Paradise and an abundance of American hops used in the whirlpool and in the dryhop make this one unique. The result is a beer with a subtle sweetness and a lot of mischievous tones. Don’t be disarmed by her easy going nature, she packs quite a punch.

Draft at Monk’s Pub. Puffy Belgian head. Body is a quite cloudy gold. English IPA smell, rather low-key against its warm maltiness. First taste shows its creamy texture, like it might have come from nitro. Low level of carbonation. Hop bitterness is up front, but still not too strong. As I go further down, though, the hops pick up speed. Some yeast taste too, especially toward the finish.

[Bottle] Lighter orange pour with about an inch of dense foam head. Notes of tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, Belgian yeast and floral hops in the aroma. Flavors include dough, sweet grains, apricot, peach, citrus peel and a nice dose of grassy and floral hops. Moderate levels of bitterness. Medium in body. A pretty solid beer.

From a European looking 16.09 ounce bottle. A huge golden tinted head that has good retention and leaves a thick layer of lacing. The beer under it is hazed golden and some carbonation can be seen floating up. The aroma is noted from a distance and is full of fruit that include stone fruit, citrus, and tropical varieties. The flavor brings that complex fruit, too. Underlying all of that is some pink grapefruit with the accompanying bitterness. Malts are background only. There is some yeast and floral notes. Just a little earth in the finish. A unique take on a classic. This is such an easy beer to drink. It could be dangerous.

tap. golden with one finger head. sweet with quite a bit of belgian influence. estery. medium hops, perhaps a bit understated for an IPA, but it works well here.

Bottle - Sweet flowery hops. Frothy white head with a cloudy gold head. Earthy slightly vegative hops and light sweetness and some yeasty notes. Lots of flowery and sweet estery notes. Interesting and nice.

Hazed orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is resiny hops and what I think is Belgian yeast. Flavor is a sweet malt start with an ok bitter finish. A bit of nice complexity added from the yeast I think. Medium bodied and a touch fizzy. still solid

750ml bottle. Unfiltered orange-tan-amber body. Steady foamy off-white head. Dry zesty yeast tones, not far removed from a quality Saison. Nice herbal, grassy, dry hoppiness. Great mouthfeel, captures a real Belgian effervescence. A really tasty beer, not quite as juicy of a hop profile as I was hoping for, but still better than most BIPAs. Mild hairspray tones.

16.9 oz. bottle. Hoppy, tart, interesting, unusual, but ultimately not very good and somewhat offputting aroma. Scents of honey, grilled vegetables, pickle brine, and candy sugar. Pours a hazy, dark buff or dull/dirty brass/bronze color. Small to moderate amount of beige head. Looks good in a murky way. Tart, dry, tangy, mineral-y, vegetal, herbal, slightly sour, spicy, and bitter flavor that matches the aroma. Flavors of lemon, rhubarb, orange, and grapefruit. Ultimately not very tasty and, like the aroma, a bit offputting. Medium body. Quite lively and frothy in the palate. Overall, I am not a fan. It’s something different, it’s weird, and it’s just not very good.

Poured with a giant long-lasting off-white head, plenty of Lace, and a clear honey color. lots going on with the aroma yeast hops wine malt Caramel fruit. Flavor is like aroma although the bitterness from the yeast and hops is a little overplayed and clashes somewhat also there is bitter sweetness and plenty of carbonic tang. Body is decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle I schlepped back with me from the Midwest - hazy orange pour, with a fluffy, well-sustained head - nose has a nice earthy must to it, along with a slight muskiness, which leads to tangy, citric hop nose, and an underlying dry, toasty, lightly nutty malt richness that reminds me very much of a Biere de Garde - soft carbonation and texture - malts are dry, but rich, toasty, nutty, lightly doughy - soft basement yeast character - hops arrive late, but pack a slight punch - fairly bitter, leading to quite a peppery finish, along with a slight, lingering mineral quality - really does remind me of a hoppy BdG - I like it, despite it being a little hot in the finish - interested about the saison I brought back, now.
