hughie (2252), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England May 1, 2008 Drab muddy brown with an off white head. Sweet malt and yeast aroma. Taste was dominated by the excessive fizz. There was a hint of sweetness, but the overall impression was an almost unrelieved low key bitterness with not a great deal to cheer things up. I really didn’t like this one. downender (1609), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Mar 29, 2008 Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Opaque copper colour with a massive, off-white head that led to several attempts at pouring. Aroma of caramel, ripe bananas and yeast. Flavour had more sweetness, bananas and a soft lemon and spice finish. Drinkable. Fin (2344), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Mar 24, 2008 Picked this up from Dodgi Deli, Cowley Road and had tis 23-03-08 Has a swishy creamy nose with plenty of fresh yeast and bread notes. Good tasty beer lots of sweet malts, Loz got banana I never, lovely supping beer that in my opinion deserves higher recognition than it gets. maeib (3997), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Mar 21, 2008 Bottled. A light chestnut coloured beer with a hazy finish and an expansive off white head which stays throughout. The aroma has some caramel and bubblegum. The taste is sweet and woody. A tad plain and uneventful but refreshing enough. leaparsons (3963), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Mar 2, 2008 Bottle. Dark hazy brown with a large off-white foam. Aromas are sweet weetabix malts with yeast and soft spices. Flavours are toffee and chocolate malts with ripe, sweet earthy pear. Nice spritzy carbonation with resinous lemon towards the finish. Decent.
