Bottle from a small getrankemarkt beside Hopfen und Maltz. Medium gold, no cloudiness. Aroma is citrus and yeast. A lemon flavoured wheat beer, reminds you of pancake tuesday. Unusual but very drinkable.

Bottle share at Leighton’s - thanks to Fergus. As ’Unertl Oberland Export Weissbier’, 5.2%. Hazy opaque orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet and malty, sweetcorn, white chocolate. Body is light, tingly carbonation, a bit foamy. Taste is more typical of a weiss - straw, clove and banana ester, light metallic finish. It grew on me quite a lot.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2016 Bottle thanks to Fergus. It pours clear orange - amber with a medium white head. The nose is bitter - sweet, grainy, bready, mild smoked cheese, orange muffin, bread and soft orange. The taste is crisp, bitter sweet, very bready, cereal, sugary, alcohol and cracker with a sweet, dry finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A touch sweet for my liking. Fair.

500ml bottle takeaway from the York Tap. Pours murky amber with no head and quite gentle carbonation. Aromas of over-ripe banana. Taste has a medicinal clove note, more cooked banana. Light sweet finish. Ok.

500ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy orange amber, reasonable head. Banana clove wheat aroma & flavour. Slightly sickley sweet wheaty aftertaste. Bit too sweet for a hefe for me.
