Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle! Smooth and malty caramelly beginning. Very fresh and round, smooth with a nice subtle clove aroma. The body is smooth, very refreshing with malty caramelly hints and dry grain. Moderate bitter, dry and caramelly smooth aftertaste with yeasty clove. Nice.

[backlog] 14-01-16 / bottle at home. Yeasty, some dried fruit. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3/5

Murky dark brown color with beige head. Aroma has some fermented fruits like plums and apples with a bit of brown sugar. Taste starts also with some tart, fermented fruits. You also get some dunkelweizen flavors like banana, but overripe and mushy and some yeast spice. Medium body and carbonation. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle but it seems a bit too tart for the style.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Chyba najlepszy ciemne piwo pszeniczne jakie degustowałem. W smaku biszkopty nasaczone rumem, herbatniki, trochę korzennych akcentow i kminek. Dobre, wytrawne mimo sporej slodowosci. Zapach wyczuwalne mokre drewno. Dla mnie klasyk. Polecam

Pours a vibrant hazelnut-dark brown color, together with a huge, superfroth beige head. Smells of herbs, toffee malts, big chunks of earth coated malts, and a lingering smoked quality. Has a slightly tart, wet hay characteristic to it, perfectly enriching the rustic, headstrong aromas, by adding a mellowing touch. Has a world class mouthfeel to it, utmost soft, with a silk finish, in which you get the impression to be able to pick up all the flavors, while the liquid carefully caresses the tongue. Its carbonation is visible though, creating a nice, refreshing quality, which balances the sweeter turning malts during the finish. Tastes of earth, smoked fish skin, balanced by salt and toffee, together with wood bark, and spices, which evoke a pleasant dry quality. More smoky malts evolve on the palate, once the beers bubbly carbonation lends a mineralic quality to the flavors, making this very smashable. While it features a somehow strange melange of flavors, they blend together beautifully, establishing a smoked wood earth character the morning after sitting at a bonfire. Finishes clean, sweet and smoky with a tart, dry spiciness at the back end of the palate. This one truly blew me away. I expected a dark, well crafted Weissbier, but got so much more out of it. A true plethora of flavors constantly evolve on the palate, leading to a very focussed, expressive finish, with lots of layers of smoke, malts and a punchy twist.
