Thanks to Agate, bottle from Munich
Pours hazy, muddy brown with beige, creamy-brown frothy top. On nose it comes dominant malty with hints of cocoa, dark plums, toasted malts. Reminded me bock a little. Taste is sweet with touch of light roast bitter and dry finish from darker malts, a little sourness also left on tongue. When poured into the glass- looked super thick textured, but it is not- medium body, thick, slick texture, soft carbo, dry finish. Didn’t find any banana or apples flavors from yeast, just light sourness, complementary. I liked.

50cl bottle directly from the brewery region. Arom aof smoked grains. Pours pitchblack with white head. Thick and oily. Resin hops, burnt sugars and very curious cellar like yeast. Heavily smoked beer. Feels like you are in the black black banya/sauna. Smooth and easy-drinking beer. Suitable ABV for its density. Super beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, from The Dram Shop, Sheffield. Deep chestnut brown with a faint haze, fluffy but short lived pale beige head, moderate condition. Fruity nose with hints of ester, banana and low chocolate, plus a smoky phenolic note, soft in the mouth with a low roast barley note initially that receedes and allows a fruity banana wheatiness to become prominent, finish is pleasantly sweet with a slight chalky bitterness

50cl fliptop, Maruhn. 2nd time I had this in the last half-year, 1st occasion must have somehow passed by unnoticed, although this is a surprisingly unique and tasty brew. Pours a near black mahogany with generous beige, krausen-like indented foam. Roasted malts imparting caramel notes, while the dry astringent mouthfeel remains intact; highly enjoyable unfiltered/"Keller" creaminess, complemented by banana/peach puree sweetness. Body remains pleasantly light for an unfiltered Dunkelweizen. Dominant in aroma, taste and mf becomes an incipient smoky sensation which is best grasped, by a stroke of olfactory genius, as "burnt match" (Allen).

Fliptop from Arden Wines. Cola ruby with an uncontrollable cream heap of suds. Massive sahti-like banana, clove, pepper and red apple nose. Full and spicy with clovier-than-clove yeast, bubblegum, overripe banana, sarsaparilla and strudel flavours. Beautiful.
